Nausea and vomiting induced by cancer treatment (CINV) remain one of the most common and feared side effects in children despite the use of new drugs to prevent them. The existing recommendations for the prophylaxis and treatment of CINV are based on adult patients in Anglo-Saxon societies. Based on a recent review of the literature, we focused on specific pediatric issues in order to offer recommendations validated by the supportive care committee of the French society for childhood cancer.

Aim: We evaluated a decision algorithm for percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) based on a no-stent strategy, corresponding to a combination of scoring balloon angioplasty (SCBA) and drug-coated balloon (DCB), as a first line approach. Stents were used only in unstable patients, or in case of mandatory bailout stenting (BO-stent).
Methods: From April 2019 to March 2020, 984 consecutive patients, including 1922 lesions, underwent PCI.

Purpose: We report a multicenter controlled trial comparing renal recovery and tolerance profile of doublet versus triplet bortezomib-based regimens in patients with initial myeloma cast nephropathy (CN) and acute kidney injury (AKI) without need for dialysis.
Methods: After symptomatic measures and high-dose dexamethasone, patients were randomly assigned to receive bortezomib plus dexamethasone (BD), or BD plus cyclophosphamide (C-BD). In patients with < 50% reduction of serum free light chains (sFLCs) after 3 cycles, chemotherapy was reinforced with either cyclophosphamide (BD group) or thalidomide (C-BD group).

DrugCam(®) is a new approach to control the chemotherapy preparations with an intelligent video system that enables automatic verification during the critical stages of preparations combined with an a posteriori control with partial or total visualization of the video recording of preparations. The assessment was about the recognizing of anticancer drug vials (qualitative analysis) and syringe volumes (quantitative analysis). The qualitative analysis was conducted for a total of 120 vials with sensitivity of 100% for 84.

Background: The potential influence of bed availability on triage to intensive care unit (ICU) admission is among the factors that may influence the ideal ratio of ICU beds to population: thus, high bed availability (HBA) may result in the admission of patients too well or too sick to benefit, whereas bed scarcity may result in refusal of patients likely to benefit from ICU admission.
Methods: Characteristics and outcomes of patient admitted in four ICUs with usual HBA, defined by admission refusal rate less than 11 % because of bed unavailability, were compared to patients admitted in six ICUs with usual low bed availability (LBA), i.e.

Background: The role of implantable loop recorders (ILRs) in the evaluation strategy for recurrent syncope in France is limited by lack of knowledge of the cost.
Aim: To compare a conventional evaluation strategy for syncope with the early use of an ILR in low-risk patients, in terms of diagnostic yield, cost and impact on quality of life (QoL).
Methods: National prospective randomized open-label multicenter study of patients with a single syncope (if severe and recent) or at least two syncopes in the past year.
