Brentuximab vedotin (BV)-bendamustine (90 or 120 mg/m2 day 1 and 2) every 28 days is an effective treatment for relapsed/refractory Hodgkin lymphoma (R/R HL) but associated to high toxicity especially for elderly patients. We conducted in St Louis Hospital, Paris, between 2015 and 2021 a retrospective single-center analysis of 44 patients with R/R HL treated with one-day BV-bendamustine (120 mg/m2) every 21 days. Sixteen percent of patients were ≥ 60 years old (yo).

Purpose: Genomic profiling is a major component for first-line treatment decisions in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and the timeliness of biomarker testing is essential to improve time to treatment initiation (TTI) or avoid inappropriate treatment.
Patients And Methods: The phase III LIBELULE trial (NCT03721120) included patients with radiological suspicion of advanced lung cancer. They were randomized (1:1), the control arm receiving diagnostic procedures according to each center's practice and the liquid biopsy arm with additional testing performed at the first visit using the InVisionFirst®-Lung assay.

Background: Although heritability of venous thromboembolism (VTE) is high, the thrombophilia screening appears to be positive only in a minority of VTE patients. Adding rare variants screening to identify VTE missing heritability still requires further assessment.
Objectives: We report the results of a panel strategy after 3 years of application.

Neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome (NTOS) is characterized by the compression of the brachial plexus in the thoracic outlet region, caused by various etiologies. We report a case with clinical symptoms and imaging findings from ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of NTOS due to an elongated C7 transverse process and a fibrous band of the middle scalene muscle, which was confirmed in decompression surgery.

: Type A aortic dissection (TAAD) is a life-threatening condition which requires prompt diagnosis and surgical treatment. When TAAD involves the aortic root, aortic valve-sparing or Bentall procedures are the main surgical treatment options. The subjects of this analysis were 3735 patients included in the European Registry of Type A Aortic Dissection (ERTAAD).

Background: The prevalence and short-term cardiovascular consequences of recent cannabis use in patients admitted to an intensive cardiac care unit for acute coronary syndrome is not well established.
Aims: To assess the prevalence of recent cannabis use detected by prospective systematic screening, and its prognostic value in predicting the occurrence of in-hospital major adverse events in consecutive patients with acute coronary syndrome.
Methods: From 07 to 22 April 2021, all consecutive patients admitted to an intensive cardiac care unit in 39 centres throughout France were studied prospectively.

Introduction: Sleep and mood disorders are common in hemodialysis, but the effect of light therapy remains unknown in this population.
Methods: We conducted a randomized, controlled, open-label pilot trial comparing two group of either 30 minutes of light therapy three times a week, or no exposure. The primary endpoint was change in sleep quality (PSQI) after five weeks of light therapy, with change in mood (DASS-21) as a secondary endpoint.

Background: The current study aims to report the presentation of the malperfusion syndrome in patients with acute type A aortic dissection admitted to surgery and its impact on mortality.
Methods: Data were retrieved from the multicenter European Registry of Type A Aortic Dissection. The Penn classification was used to categorize malperfusion syndromes.

Objective: Five definitions of clinical instability have been published to assess the appropriateness and safety of discharging patients hospitalised for pneumonia. This study aimed to quantify the level of agreement between these definitions and estimate their discriminatory accuracy in predicting post-discharge adverse events.
Study Design And Setting: We conducted a retrospective cohort study involving 1038 adult patients discharged alive following hospitalisation for pneumonia.

Background: The incidence of infective endocarditis is increasing over time. Data on the impact of minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of amoxicillin on treatment outcomes are scarce. The objective of this study was to describe the epidemiology of infective endocarditis and to evaluate whether the MIC of amoxicillin might influence mortality.

Background: Seasonal influenza outbreaks in France cause a surge in patients, exacerbating the overburdened healthcare system each winter. Older adults are particularly vulnerable to serious events related to influenza. Quadrivalent influenza high dose (QIV HD) vaccines have been developed to offer better clinical protection in older adults, who often exhibit suboptimal immune response to quadrivalent influenza standard dose vaccines (QIV SD).

Objectives: High-dose quadrivalent influenza vaccine (HD-QIV) was introduced during the 2021/2022 influenza season in France for adults aged ≥65 years as an alternative to standard-dose quadrivalent influenza vaccine (SD-QIV). The aim of this study is to estimate the relative vaccine effectiveness of HD-QIV vs. SD-QIV against influenza-related hospitalizations in France.

Background: The KBP studies are real-life nationwide, prospective, multicenter cohort studies of patients diagnosed with primary lung cancer that have been conducted in French non-academic public hospitals each decade since 2000.
Methods: Patients were analyzed in three prospective cohorts using the same methodology. In this study, we describe and compare the characteristics and outcomes of patients with small cell lung cancer (SCLC), with a focus on treatments in the 2020 cohort.

Objective: Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) combined with continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) achieves better glycemic control than multi-injection therapy in people with type 2 diabetes. The effectiveness of closed-loop therapy needs to be further evaluated in this population.
Research Design And Methods: The study objective was to measure the impact of a hybrid closed-loop device (DBLG1) compared with CSII + CGM on glycemic control in people with type 2 diabetes previously treated with CSII.

Due to the discrepancy between patients awaiting a heart transplant and the availability of donor hearts, strategies to expand the donor pool and improve the transplant's success are crucial. This review aims to summarize current knowledge on the ex vivo heart preservation (EVHP) experience as an alternative to standard cold static storage (CSS). EVHP techniques can improve the preservation of the donor's heart before transplantation and allow for pre-transplant organ evaluation.

Background: Although complement component 5 inhibitors (C5is) eculizumab and ravulizumab improve paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) outcomes, patients may experience persistent anemia. This post hoc analysis investigated whether the complement component 3-targeted therapy pegcetacoplan also improved hematologic outcomes and reduced fatigue in patients with PNH and mild/moderate anemia.
Methods: Patients with PNH and hemoglobin ≥10.

Background: Clinical trials and real-life data have reported an increased incidence of conjunctivitis in patients treated with dupilumab for their atopic dermatitis (AD). Although mostly mild in severity, in some cases conjunctivitis will appear or increase after dupilumab initiation, which can lead to dupilumab discontinuation.
Objectives: (1) To describe the characteristics of patients developing conjunctivitis requiring discontinuation of dupilumab; and (2) to analyse the factors associated with a complete conjunctivitis improvement after dupilumab discontinuation and a switch to tralokinumab or Janus kinase inhibitors.

Background: Critical-illness survivors may experience post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and quality-of-life impairments. Resilience may protect against psychological trauma but has not been adequately studied after critical illness. We assessed resilience and its associations with PTSD and quality of life, and also identified factors associated with greater resilience.
