Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy of switching from intravitreal ranibizumab to intravitreal aflibercept in choroidal neovascularization secondary to angioid streaks.
Design: Multicenter retrospective interventional case series.
Methods: Patients previously treated with intravitreal ranibizumab with at least 12-month follow-up (M12) after switching (M0) to intravitreal aflibercept.

Purpose: To assess in a real life setting the progression of central retinal thickness (CRT) during the first month after surgery in diabetic patients without previous diabetic macular edema (DME) and to identify potential risk factors for DME leading to increased postoperative follow-up.
Methods: We conducted a prospective study of diabetic patients without history of DME who underwent uncomplicated cataract surgery. Best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) and SD-OCT were performed 7 days and 1 month after surgery.

Aims: Diabetic macular edema (DME) frequently presents bilaterally. In case of bilateral retinal disease, the visual impairment (VI) and the visual acuity (VA) are strongly correlated to the better eye. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of ranibizumab intravitreal injections (IVR) on VI in patients with simultaneous VA loss due to DME.

Purpose: To determine the sensitivity and specificity of different retinal imaging combinations for the diagnosis of choroidal neovascularization (CNV) in age-related macular degeneration.
Methods: Patients aged 50 years or older referred for suspicious recent-onset CNV related to age-related macular degeneration were prospectively included for 6 months. Data recorded included color fundus photographs (CFPs), spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), and fluorescein angiography (FA) images.

Rationale: Sjögren syndrome (SS) is frequently associated with ulcerative keratitis, which is difficult to treat due to lacrimal tear deficiency and inflammation of the ocular surface.
Patient Concerns: We report the successful additive effect of a matrix regenerating agent (RGTA, Cacicol) in SS patients with severe superficial ulcerative keratitis resistant to conventional therapy.
Diagnoses: Retrospective, noncomparative case series of patients with primary or secondary SS associated with chronic diffuse keratitis.

Purpose: We assessed the relationship between visual acuity (VA) recovery and a qualitative criterion - complete retinal fluid resorption (CRFR) - among patients treated with ranibizumab for diabetic macular edema (DME) METHODS: All consecutive diabetic patients with central DME received a loading dose of 3 monthly injections of ranibizumab 0.5mg, followed by retreatments on an as-needed basis as determined by monthly follow-up. Patients were divided into 3 groups: CRFR (defined as a CRT <300μm and restoration of the foveolar pit) with BCVA≤70 letters (group 1: G1), CRFR with BCVA>70 letters (20/40) (G2), and persistent retinal fluid throughout the follow-up (G3).

Purpose: To assess short-term functional and anatomical outcomes of refractory diabetic macular edema (DME) following a switch from ranibizumab or dexamethasone to aflibercept.
Methods: We included retrospectively eyes with persistent DME after at least 3 ranibizumab and/or one dexamethasone implant intravitreal injections (IVI). The primary endpoint was the mean change in visual acuity (VA) at month 6 (M6) after switching.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the sustained intraocular pressure (IOP) elevation after repeated anti-VEGF intravitreal injections (IVI) in patients with diabetic macular edema (DME).
Methods: A retrospective study included 140 eyes without prior glaucoma, treated with at least three anti-VEGF injections for DME between 2012 and 2016. IOP elevation was defined by an increase above baseline IOP by ≥6 mmHg.

Background: To report the use of En-face optical coherence tomography (OCT) in a patient treated with docetaxel and tamoxifen for breast cancer for the detection of macular edema (ME) without evidence of leakage on fluorescein angiography (FA).
Case Presentation: A 52-year-old woman treated for breast cancer presented with bilateral visual loss for 2 months. FA showed no significant leakage while spectral-domain OCT scans of both eyes showed foveolar and parafoveolar cystic spaces in a moderately thickened macula.
