Objective: Following Health Canada's knowledge translation framework, we report the results of a clinical audit from 2012 to 2015 followed by a multidisciplinary, nurse-led gout care protocol with a treat-to-target (T2T) strategy implemented in April 2018.

Methods: A clinical audit with chart reviewing was completed for adults with gout and urate-lowering therapy (ULT) indication at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Sherbrooke. A nurse-led treatment algorithm using allopurinol was then developed.

Addressing the topic of death is essential to empower healthcare professionals to work with people, but there is a lack of training in this area. This study presents the perceptions of students and educators regarding the use of metaphor and artistic creation to explore values, prejudices, emotions, and experiential knowledge related to death. The pedagogical innovation allowed students to reflect on and express their perceptions of death, while also experiencing a listening posture, thereby contributing to the development of communication skills, among others.

Background And Purpose: Sonothrombolysis is a potential adjunctive therapy for large vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke. Bedside ultrasound image-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) therapy could deliver higher energy therapeutic ultrasound to the thrombus with higher precision than what was previously accomplished in human trials. The aim is to test the feasibility of diagnostic transcranial contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) to image the occlusion site and continuously maintain the guidance image on-target for a sufficient exposure time for HIFU to be effective during LVO stroke evaluation and treatment.

Background: Safety remains a significant concern for biologic drugs, and studies are needed to ensure a comparable safety profile for biosimilars and their legacy treatments. Using Canadian administrative health data from 2015-2019, we compared the incidence of serious infection between biosimilars and bio-originators initiators for etanercept and infliximab, two of the most commonly used biologics during this time.

Intrapatient intermetastatic heterogeneity (IIH) has been demonstrated in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) patients and is of the utmost importance for radiopharmaceutical therapy (RPT) eligibility. Background: The automatic detection of activities of daily living (ADL) is necessary to improve long-term home-based monitoring of Parkinson's disease (PD) symptoms. While most body-worn sensor algorithms for ADL detection were developed using laboratory research systems covering full-body kinematics, it is now crucial to achieve ADL detection using a single body-worn sensor that remains commercially available and affordable for ecological use.

Introduction: In a 5-year follow-up study, we investigated the enduring effects of cognitive training on older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI).

Methods: A randomized controlled single-blind trial involved 145 older adults with MCI, assigned to cognitive training (MEMO+), an active control psychosocial intervention, or a no-contact condition. Five-year effects were measured on immediate and delayed memory recall, the Montreal Cognitive Assessment screening test (MoCA), self-reported strategy use, and daily living difficulties.

Methods: TMS motor effects (targeting the primary motor cortex [M1]) were evaluated using the resting motor threshold (rMT), while TMS non-motor effects (targeting the superior temporal gyrus [STG]) were assessed using a pain memory task. Anatomical measurements included scalp-cortex distance (SCD) and cortical thickness (CT), whereas field modeling encompassed the magnitude of the electric field (E) induced by TMS.
