[Second reading in breast cancer screening program: State of knowledge and future].

Second reading is an important part of breast cancer organized screening program. Image quality control and detection of non-diagnosed cancer by first reader are the two goals of this process. In France, 6 % of all screening cancer are diagnosed by second reading, actually done on screen film.

[Guidelines for Clinical Practice of the French College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists 2021: Prophylactic procedures associated with gynecologic surgery].

Objective: To draw up recommendations on the use of prophylactic gynecologic procedures during surgery for other indications.

Methods: A Delphi process was initiated among a panel of 12 experts in robot assisted surgery invited through the SERGS. An online questionnaire survey was based on a literature search for standards in education in gynaecological robot assisted surgery.

But true revolution will be to use the huge volume of "hidden" imaging data, by Intelligence Artificial process or Biological progress (in genomics, proteiomics) to purpose to our patient a personalized imaging.

[French program of breast cancer screening: Radiologist viewpoint].

French program of breast cancer screening is implemented since15 years and results are in adequation with international guidelines except for participation. To answer to recurrent controversies about breast cancer screening, publications from National Institute of French cancer registry confirm the positive impact of screening on decreasing mortality for participating women. The harms of mammography (and not from screening) need to be communicated to the invited women to help them to make decision about participation but also the risk of worse prognosis in case of symptomatic cancer.

Outcomes of the use of different vulvar flaps for reconstruction during surgery for vulvar cancer.

Background: Vulvar carcinoma is a rare cancer, accounting for 3-5% of all gynecological cancers. Surgery is the standard treatment for patients with early stage vulvar cancer and vulvar reconstruction can be performed for these patients. Different patterns of ovarian recovery after cancer treatment suggest various individual ovarian susceptibilities to chemotherapy.

The relationship between early recovery of menstrual activity and blood anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) concentrations were investigated within the first year post-chemotherapy in 32 young patients with breast cancer. All were treated by surgery and the same chemotherapy protocol (three cycles of FEC100 plus three cycles of taxanes). Menstrual activity, blood AMH (using picoAMH ELISA) and FSH concentrations were measured longitudinally before, during and up to 12 months after the end of chemotherapy (six samples per patient).

Introduction: Alectinib demonstrated clinical efficacy and an acceptable safety profile in two phase II studies (NP28761 and NP28673). Here we report the pooled efficacy and safety data after 15 and 18 months more follow-up than in the respective primary analyses.

Background: Currently, there is no standard option for local salvage treatment for local prostate cancer recurrence after radiotherapy. Our objective was to investigate the feasibility and efficiency of Robotic Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) in this clinical setting.

Background: Totally implantable venous access port systems are widely used in oncology, with frequent complications that sometimes necessitate device removal. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of the time interval between port placement and initiation of chemotherapy and the neutropenia-inducing potential of the chemotherapy administered upon complication-related port removal.

Patients And Methods: Between January 2010 and December 2013, 4045 consecutive patients were included in this observational, single-center prospective study.

[Usefulness of social and educational approach in adolescents and young adults with cancer: The Lille team's experience].

Within the second "Cancer plan" 2009-2013, the French national institute of cancer (INCa) recommended the implementation of programs dedicated to adolescents and youngs adults (AYA) with cancer. In this context and in parallel to the specific medical care developed for AYA, the Oscar-Lambret center created a psycho-social-educational team including among others a social worker (SW) and a special educational teacher (SET), offering multidisciplinary qualifications and views. The social approach, realized as a pair by SW-SET, takes into account every aspect of each AYA (family, academic, career/professional, personal, cultural aspects…).

[Intraprostatic fiducials in stereotactic radiotherapy for prostate cancer].

Purpose: Image-guided radiotherapy for prostate cancer is widely used in radiotherapy departments. Intraprostatic gold fiducial markers are used to visualize prostate position and motion before and during treatment. The aim of this report is to describe our experience of implanting intraprostatic fiducial markers under local anesthesia before hypofractionated stereotactic radiotherapy for prostate cancer and to assess its tolerance and reproducibility.

Safety of adjuvant intensity-modulated postoperative radiation therapy in endometrial cancer: Clinical data and dosimetric parameters according to the International Commission on Radiation Units (ICRU) 83 report.

Aim: To report a single-institution experience using postoperative pelvic Intensity Modulation Radiation Therapy (IMRT) using tomotherapy accelerators (TA) in postoperative endometrial cancer (EC) regarding ICRU 83 recommendations.

Background: IMRT in gynecological malignancies provides excellent dosimetric data, lower rates of adverse events and clinical data similar to historical series.

A biophysical model of cell evolution after cytotoxic treatments: Damage, repair and cell response.

We present a theoretical agent-based model of cell evolution under the action of cytotoxic treatments, such as radiotherapy or chemotherapy. The major features of cell cycle and proliferation, cell damage and repair, and chemical diffusion are included. Cell evolution is based on a discrete Markov chain, with cells stepping along a sequence of discrete internal states from 'normal' to 'inactive'.

Minimally invasive surgical management of early-stage cervical cancer: an analysis of the risk factors of surgical complications and of oncologic outcomes.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to evaluate the morbidity and the oncologic outcomes of laparoscopic radical hysterectomy in treating early-stage cervical cancer.

Methods: We included all patients with early-stage cervical cancer (IA, IB1, IIA1, and IIB), as assessed by the Federation International of Gynecology and Obstetrics staging criteria, undergoing laparoscopic radical hysterectomy from January 1999 to December 2013 in our center. Morbidity was classified according to the Clavien and Dindo classification.

[Multidisciplinary meetings dedicated to bone metastases: a historical perspective and rationale].

Bone metastases of solid tumors have a strong impact on patient's autonomy and vital outcome. Drugs specifically targeting bone remodeling as well as local treatment (radiotherapy, osteoplasty, surgery) make the management of bone metastasis a multidisciplinary process. Multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) dedicated to bone metastasis aim at providing the diagnosis of certainty, defining treatment indications and monitoring follow-up.

Intradural extramedullary spinal metastases of non-neurogenic origin: a distinct clinical entity or a subtype of leptomeningeal metastasis? A case-control study.

Objective: To better define the management of unique intradural extramedullary spinal metastases (IESM) from solid cancers of non-neurogenic origin, in particular regarding leptomeningeal metastasis (LM).
