SACHA-France (NCT04477681) is a prospective real-world study that collects clinical safety and efficacy data of novel anticancer therapies prescribed off-label or on compassionate use to patients <25 years. From March 2020 until February 2024, 640 patients with solid tumors or lymphomas were included, with 176 (28%) reported objective tumor responses. Centralized medical monitoring of local radiological/functional imaging reports by the SACHA coordinating investigator led to response modification in 45 out of 176 cases (26%), highlighting the relevance of the medical review of study data.

Background: This study evaluated the efficacy of hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) in colorectal cancer with peritoneal metastases (pmCRC) in a large international data set of patients.
Patients And Methods: Patients with pmCRC from 39 centres who underwent cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC between 1991 and 2018 were selected and compared for the HIPEC protocols received-oxaliplatin-HIPEC versus mitomycin-HIPEC. Following analysis of crude data, propensity-score matching (PSM) and Cox-proportional hazard modelling were performed.

Background: Group B streptococci (Streptococcus agalactiae) (GBS) is a rare cause of prosthetic joint infection (PJI) occurring in patients with comorbidities and seems to be associated with a poor outcome. Depiction of GBS PJI is scarce in the literature.
Methods: A retrospective survey in 2 referral centers for bone joint infections was done Patients with a history of PJI associated with GBS between 2014 and 2019 were included.

BACKGROUND: Admission to the hospital is a major risk factor for the development of venous thromboembolism (VTE). Whether thromboprophylaxis with low-molecular-weight heparin prevents symptomatic VTE in medically ill, hospitalized older adults remains debated. METHODS: In a prospective, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, multicenter trial, older adults (>70 years of age) hospitalized for acute medical conditions were randomly assigned to receive 40 mg a day of low-molecular-weight heparin (enoxaparin) or placebo for 6 to 14 days.

Importance: Innovative anticancer therapies for children, adolescents, and young adults are regularly prescribed outside their marketing authorization or through compassionate use programs. However, no clinical data of these prescriptions is systematically collected.
Objectives: To measure the feasibility of the collection of clinical safety and efficacy data of compassionate and off-label innovative anticancer therapies, with adequate pharmacovigilance declaration to inform further use and development of these medicines.

Background: The pylorus plays a key role in the control of gastric content outflow. Impairment of pyloric physiology has been observed in gastroparesis, particularly when associated with diabetes mellitus or opioid intake or after antireflux surgery. New tools have been developed to identify pyloric dysfunction in routine care, including functional luminal impedance planimetry (FLIP).

Background: There is a paucity of studies evaluating perioperative systemic chemotherapy in conjunction with cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) in patients with colorectal cancer peritoneal metastases (CRCPM). The aim was to evaluate neoadjuvant and/or adjuvant systemic therapy in CRCPM.
Methods: Patients with CRCPM from 39 treatment centres globally from January 1, 1991, to December 31, 2018, who underwent CRS+HIPEC were identified and stratified according to neoadjuvant/adjuvant use.

Background: The diverse and complex variations in the possible forms of health-work interactions are constantly reconfigured over the course of a person's career.
Objectives: The aims of this study were: 1) assess the scope of the individual changes in working conditions; 2) examine conjoint changes in working conditions; 3) examine the links between these changes and back pain and fatigue.
Method: Analyses were conducted using data from the French observatory EVREST.

Introduction: Total ankle arthroplasty (TAA), tibiotalar (TT) arthrodesis and tibiotalocalcaneal (TTC) arthrodesis are common surgical procedures that are sometimes concurrent. The functional results of TTC are deemed to be inferior because of the double joint sacrifice. Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs), as well as satisfaction scores, are commonly used to assess the outcome of these surgeries, but lack at capturing patients' ability to cope with potential functional limitations.

Purpose: In the acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) landscape, adolescents and young adults (AYA) often present high-risk diseases and increased chemotherapy-related toxicity. Studies analyzing the outcomes of AYA after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) are scarce. Our study aimed to compare the outcomes of children and AYA with ALL after HSCT and to determine the factors influencing potential differences.

Developed in the late 1980s, rotational atherectomy has raised a lot of hope for its innovative principle of selective ablation, allowing volume reduction (instead of redistribution) of atherosclerotic plaque, while sparing healthy tissue. Long shunned for its disappointing results on restenosis, the Rotablator finally reasserted itself in the 2000s; era of drug eluting stents and coronary angioplasty boom, thus generating emergence of complex lesions. Indeed, the Rotablator has demonstrated an undeniable benefit in complex (type C) and calcified lesions preparation (before stenting), with a procedural success rate of 95%.

Patients with Parkinson disease (PD) experience a range of non-motor symptoms, including gastrointestinal symptoms. These symptoms can be present in the prodromal phase of the disease. Recent advances in pathophysiology reveal that α-synuclein aggregates that form Lewy bodies and neurites, the hallmark of PD, are present in the enteric nervous system and may precede motor symptoms.

Purpose: A decision tree based on a clinicophysiological score (severe high-altitude illness (SHAI) score) has been developed to detect subjects susceptible to SHAI. We aimed to validate this decision tree, to rationalize the prescription of acetazolamide (ACZ), and to specify the rule for a progressive acclimatization.
Methods: Data were obtained from 641 subjects in 15 European medical centers before and during a sojourn at high altitude.

Introduction: Sodium polystyrene sulphonate (SPS) and calcium polystyrene sulphonate (CPS) are commonly used cation-exchange resins for the treatment and control of hyperkalaemia. However, their use (particularly SPS) has been limited by reports of adverse gastrointestinal (GI) events. The safety of these compounds in patients undergoing dialysis requires larger investigation.
