Prognostic factors for the long-term evolution of chronic hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg)-negative hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection may vary depending on local epidemiology. We aimed to identify these factors in France, where the epidemiology is influenced by diverse immigration. Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg)-positive, HBeAg-negative adults with normal transaminase levels and viral loads < 20,000 IU/mL for 1 year, without viral co-infection or advanced liver disease, were enrolled for a 5-year follow-up.

Background And Objectives: Violence against women (VAW) is widespread and can have serious physical and mental health consequences, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and sleep disorders. Victim-survivors often face barriers in accessing specialised care, highlighting the need for a multidisciplinary response, especially in healthcare settings. The Maison des Femmes (MdF) model provides holistic support to women experiencing VAW, including medical, psychological, social and legal support.

Background: Peripheral intravenous catheters (PIVCs) are the most commonly used invasive medical devices in healthcare. While they are often perceived as innocuous because they are common, this perception does not match their risk factors. In France, 16% of intravenous device-associated bacteremia are due to PIVCs.

An experimental art-mediated psychotherapy workshop is offered to patients who, after a stroke, find their physical and mental capacities diminished. The traumatic experience of this brutal event and the resulting handicaps are a source of psycho-affective disorders that can hinder favorable motor recovery. The workshop's ethnoscenological approach provides an integrative reading of the psychological mechanisms at play, enabling us to work psychologically with the modified body through experiential performative practice and stage exercises that encourage the embodiment of the imaginary.

Introduction: Sleeve gastrectomy is a good treatment intervention to control the metabolic syndrome in patients with obesity worldwide. However, weight regain is of great concern and would usually necessitate a reintervention. In recent years, re-sleeve gastrectomy (ReSG) has been proposed to treat weight regain in the context of a large residual stomach.

Background: Health care-associated primary bloodstream infections (BSIs), defined as not secondary to an infection at another body site, including central line-associated BSI, are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in patients in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). Our objective was to identify factors associated with severe morbidity and mortality after these infections in neonates in NICUs.
Methods: This ancillary study of the SEPREVEN trial included neonates hospitalized ≥2 days in one of 12 French NICUs and with ≥ 1 BSI during the 20-month study period.

Primary infection during pregnancy by the protozoan Toxoplasma gondii can be worrisome because transmission to the fetus may lead to congenital toxoplasmosis (CT). Neonatal diagnosis is usually performed by serological profile comparison of the mother and newborn. As previously reported in 2012 by C.
