Translation of the REMEDI[e]S (Review of potentially inappropriate MEDIcation pr[e]scribing in Seniors) explicit criteria into seminatural language for use in prescription support systems: A multidisciplinary consensus.

Background: By recovering data in an ordered manner and at the right time, clinical decision support systems (CDSSs) are designed to help healthcare professionals make decisions that improve patient care.

Objectives: The aim of the present study was to translate the REMEDI[e]s tool's explicit criteria, France's first reference list of potentially inappropriate drugs for the elderly, into seminatural language, in order to implement these criteria as alert rules and then enable their computer coding in a CDSS.

Methods: This work was carried out at Lille University Hospital by a team of clinical pharmacists with expertise in the use of pharmaceutical decision support systems, in collaboration with the authors of the REMEDI[e]s tool.

Multicenter evaluation of rapid antimicrobial susceptibility testing by VITEK®2 directly from positive blood culture.

Study Objective: To compare the antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) performance of positive blood cultures (PBC) VITEK®2 off-label use (D0) and traditional VITEK®2 workflow using isolated colonies after overnight (D1).

Methods: Patient samples with monomicrobial Gram-negative rod or Gram-positive cocci in clusters bacteremia were tested on D0 and compared to D1 AST results in 7 laboratories in France.

Results: Overall, categorical and essential agreement rates were 98.

Real-life use of apremilast for the treatment of psoriasis in patients with oncological comorbidities: a retrospective descriptive multicentre study in France.

Background: Systemic treatment options for psoriasis are limited for patients with recent neoplasia.

Objectives: We report the real-life use of apremilast (APR) in patients with psoriasis and recent cancer.

Materials & Methods: We conducted a retrospective, multicentre study in five hospitals and among 120 private dermatologists in the north of France from January 2015 to May 2021.

Predictive factors of postoperative septic complications after flexible ureteroscopy for urinary stones.

Background: Flexible ureteroscopy (fURS) is one of the recommended treatments for urinary stones. Urosepsis is one of the most frequent complications of fURS however its predictive factors remain uncertain. Our objective was to assess the septic complications rates of fURS and to determinate predictive factors of these complications in patients undergoing fURS.

The effect of voice content and social context on shame: a simulation and vignette paradigm to evaluate auditory verbal hallucinations.

Introduction: Recent theoretical models and preliminary data suggest that shame is a central emotion in the context of auditory verbal hallucinations (AVH or voice-hearing). Nevertheless, all previous studies were correlational. Thus, the present study sought to explore whether simulated AVH experiences can trigger shame using an experimental design.

Three artificial intelligence data challenges based on CT and ultrasound.

Purpose: The 2020 edition of these Data Challenges was organized by the French Society of Radiology (SFR), from September 28 to September 30, 2020. The goals were to propose innovative artificial intelligence solutions for the current relevant problems in radiology and to build a large database of multimodal medical images of ultrasound and computed tomography (CT) on these subjects from several French radiology centers.

Materials And Methods: This year the attempt was to create data challenge objectives in line with the clinical routine of radiologists, with less preprocessing of data and annotation, leaving a large part of the preprocessing task to the participating teams.

Population health management in France: specifying population groups through the DRG system.

Background: Population health management (PHM) by hospital groups is not yet defined nor implemented in France. However, in 2019, the French Hospitals Federation launched a pilot program to experiment PHM in five territories around five Territorial Hospital Groups (GHT's). In order to implement PHM, it is necessary to firstly define the population which healthcare facilities (hospitals) have responsibility for.

Relationship between ventilator-associated pneumonia and mortality in COVID-19 patients: a planned ancillary analysis of the coVAPid cohort.

Background: Patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection are at higher risk for ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). No study has evaluated the relationship between VAP and mortality in this population, or compared this relationship between SARS-CoV-2 patients and other populations. The main objective of our study was to determine the relationship between VAP and mortality in SARS-CoV-2 patients.

Relationship between SARS-CoV-2 infection and the incidence of ventilator-associated lower respiratory tract infections: a European multicenter cohort study.

Purpose: Although patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection have several risk factors for ventilator-associated lower respiratory tract infections (VA-LRTI), the reported incidence of hospital-acquired infections is low. We aimed to determine the relationship between SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia, as compared to influenza pneumonia or no viral infection, and the incidence of VA-LRTI.

Introduction: Cancer therapy has greatly progressed in the past few years, due to development of immune checkpoint proteins. These immunotherapies, when applied to eligible patients, have significantly reduced mortality but are prone to induce immune side-effects, including pituitary disorder and low adreno-corticotropic hormone (ACTH) and cortisol levels. We aimed to assess the prevalence and etiology of corticotropic insufficiency through a systematic screening of cortisol and ACTH levels in patients with lung cancer treated with nivolumab perfusion.

Complex Glycerol Kinase Deficiency (Xp21 Deletion Syndrome): A Case Report of a Contiguous Gene Disorder Necessitating Creative Anesthetic Planning.

We report a case of Xp21 deletion syndrome, a contiguous gene syndrome associating glycerol kinase deficiency, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and congenital adrenal hypoplasia. This results in a contraindication to the use of all halogenated agents and of propofol. We used regional anesthesia combined with dexmedetomidine and ketamine.

Feasibility of vaginal mesh for anterior vaginal wall prolapse in an ambulatory setting: A retrospective case series.

[Mental health of children in foster care, a literature review].

In France more than 140 000 children live in foster homes under the responsibility of the French Child Protection Agency. These children have lived in environments that cannot be good for their development and have been separated from their families which have to have consequences on their mental development. A literature review in France and abroad was made to identify the profiles of these children, their risk factors, and the mental disorders they can present.

[Gallstone ileus: a rare cause of acute bowel obstruction].

Gallstone ileus is a rare cause of bowel obstruction observed in older persons. The diagnosis is based on computed tomography. Enterolithotomy with or without cholecystectomy and the repair of the fistula is the treatment of choice.
