Aims: This SATISFACTION study compared single-dose (same day) oral mannitol 100 g/750 mL with standard split-dose PEG-ASC2 L (MoviPrep®).

It is characterized by the absence of the left pulmonary artery, which can lead to respiratory and cardiac complications. This anomaly can appear on a standard chest X-ray, but it must be confirmed by a chest CT scanner, which makes it possible to visualize the absence of the left pulmonary artery and the associated parenchymal anomalies.

In systemic diseases such as cancer and during treatments that affect the whole body, like chemotherapy, the vagus nerve activity is low and deregulated. Some studies focus on using HRV to predict mortality in oncology.

Corticospinal tract hyperintensity in patients with LGI1-antibody encephalitis and other central nervous system disorders with neuroglial antibodies.

The frequency of corticospinal tract (CST) T2/FLAIR hyperintensity in disorders with neuroglial antibodies is unclear. Herein, we retrospectively reviewed brain MRIs of 101 LGI1-antibody encephalitis patients, and observed CST hyperintensity in 30/101 (30%). It was mostly bilateral (93%), not associated with upper motor neuron signs/symptoms (7%), and frequently decreased over time (39%).

Assessing the implementation and effectiveness of early integrated palliative care in long-term care facilities in France: an interventional mixed-methods study protocol.

Background: Majority of residents in long-term care facilities (LTCF) have limited and delayed access to palliative care even though many suffer from incurable chronic illnesses that will likely require the provision of palliative care. We present the study protocol of "PADI-Palli", an intervention aims to advance early integrated palliative care into standard care delivered in LTCF. This study will assess the effectiveness of early integrated palliative care on palliative care accessibility for older persons in LTCF, and identify the key factors for the successful implementation of early integrated palliative care and its sustainability in the LTCF context.

Introduction: Colchicine is a narrow therapeutic margin drug that does not have the adverse effects of corticosteroids and immunosuppressants. Its use in non-severe ocular inflammatory disease excluding Behcet's disease has not been studied.

Methods: We included patients seen in the internal medicine department of Dijon University Hospital consecutively between September 2020 and September 2021 if they had received colchicine during their pathology.

Background: We determine the benefit of pulsed methylprednisolone for improving kidney function in patients with sarcoidosis tubulointerstitial nephritis.

Methods: We conducted a multicenter, prospective, randomized, open-label, controlled trial in patients with biopsy-proven acute tubulointerstitial nephritis caused by sarcoidosis at 21 sites in France. Patients were randomly assigned to receive a methylprednisolone pulse 15 mg/kg/day for 3 days, then oral prednisone (MP group) or oral prednisone 1 mg/kg/day alone (PRD group).

Background: Intermittent hemodialysis (IHD) and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) are the two main RRT modalities in patients with severe acute kidney injury (AKI). Meta-analyses conducted more than 10 years ago did not show survival difference between these two modalities. As the quality of RRT delivery has improved since then, we aimed to reassess whether the choice of IHD or CRRT as first modality affects survival of patients with severe AKI.

Implantable cardiac monitors are recommended and reimbursed in two specific cases: the etiological diagnosis of unexplained recurrent syncope and the etiological diagnosis of a cryptogenic ischemic stroke. According to the French National Authority for Health (HAS), remote monitoring "leads to early diagnosis and therapeutic care". However, remote tracking of these devices for diagnostic purposes is not included in the ETAPES program, which will end soon.
