Background & Aims: The accuracy of non-invasive tests (NITs) should be ≥80% (EASL recommendation). We aimed to compare the accuracies of the recommended NITs for advanced fibrosis in MASLD and improve NIT accuracy.

Methods: 1051 MASLD patients were allocated to derivation (n=637) and validation (n=414) sets.

Background: Following mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), elevated concentrations of brain-specific blood proteins glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase-L1 (UCH-L1) may be indicative of intracranial lesions normally detected by head CT scans. We sought to validate the performance of this combination of biomarkers at predetermined cutoff values with an automated immunoassay to predict which patients did not have intracranial lesions.

Methods: This prospective, observational study was conducted in France and Spain at 16 emergency departments.

Purpose: MYRF-related cardiac-urogenital syndrome (MYRF-CUGS) is a rare condition associated with heterozygous MYRF variants. The description of MYRF-CUGS phenotype is mostly based on postnatal cases and 36 affected individuals have been published so far. We aim now to delineate the prenatal phenotype of MYRF-CUGS by reporting clinical data from fetuses and neonates with a pathogenic MYRF variant.

Background And Objective: Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) is a rare but critical condition, particularly in young women, often linked to oral contraceptive use. It can lead to complications like subdural hematoma (SH), which are challenging to diagnose and manage. We report the case of a 39-year-old woman who presented with severe headaches and neurological symptoms, leading to a diagnosis of chronic SH and CVT, associated with long-term oral contraceptive use.

Real-world data for marginal zone lymphoma patients in the French REALYSA cohort: The REALMA study.

Marginal Zone Lymphoma (MZL) comprises three subtypes: extranodal MZL (EMZL), splenic MZL (SMZL) and nodal MZL (NMZL). Since clinical trials have limited representativeness, there is a need for real-world data (RWD) evidence in MZL. Real-world data in Lymphoma and survival in Adults (REALYSA) is a prospective multicentric French cohort of newly diagnosed lymphoma patients.

Background: Factors associated with severe COVID-19 infection have been identified; however, the impact of infection on longer-term outcomes is unclear. The objective of this study was to examine the impact of COVID-19 infection on the trajectory of lung function and nutritional status in people with cystic fibrosis (pwCF).

Methods: This is a retrospective global cohort study of pwCF who had confirmed COVID-19 infection diagnosed between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2021.

The expanded French compassionate programme for elexacaftor-tezacaftor-ivacaftor use in people with cystic fibrosis without a F508del CFTR variant: a real-world study.

Background: Elexacaftor-tezacaftor-ivacaftor has been approved in Europe for people with cystic fibrosis with at least one F508del CFTR variant. Additionally, it is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for people with cystic fibrosis with at least one of 177 rare variants. The aims of this study were to describe the clinical response to elexacaftor-tezacaftor-ivacaftor for people with cystic fibrosis without a F508del CFTR variant in France and to determine CFTR variant responsiveness to elexacaftor-tezacaftor-ivacaftor based on the observed clinical response.

Background And Objectives: Aneurysmal surgery is technically complex, and surgeon experience is an important factor in therapeutic success, but training young vascular neurosurgeons has become a complex paradigm. Despite new technologies and simulation models, cadaveric studies still offer an incomparable training tool with perfect anatomic accuracy, especially in neurosurgery. The use of human placenta for learning and improving microsurgical skills has been previously described.

Disentangling Bradykinesia and Rigidity in Parkinson's Disease: Evidence from Short- and Long-Term Subthalamic Nucleus Deep Brain Stimulation.

Objective: Bradykinesia and rigidity are considered closely related motor signs in Parkinson disease (PD), but recent neurophysiological findings suggest distinct pathophysiological mechanisms. This study aims to examine and compare longitudinal changes in bradykinesia and rigidity in PD patients treated with bilateral subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation (STN-DBS).

Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, the clinical progression of appendicular and axial bradykinesia and rigidity was assessed up to 15 years after STN-DBS in the best treatment conditions (ON medication and ON stimulation).

Introduction: Multisystemic inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) is a therapeutic emergency and can lead to myocardial dysfunction (17%-75%) and heart failure (52%-53%). Intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIG) and corticosteroids (CST) have been validated for the management of this condition. We previously demonstrated that a reduced-intensity chemotherapy schedule can safely replace hyper-CVAD (cyclophosphamide-vincristine-doxorubicin [Adriamycin]-dexamethasone) cycle 1 when combined with imatinib in adults with Philadelphia-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In the present randomized GRAAPH-2014 trial, we used nilotinib and addressed the omission of cytarabine (Ara-C) in consolidation. The primary objective was the major molecular response (MMR) rate measured by BCR::ABL1 quantification after cycle 4 (end of consolidation).

Purpose: Transarterial radioembolization (TARE) with Yttrium-90 resin microspheres is a treatment option for patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC). However, optimising the timing of TARE in relation to systemic therapies and patient selection remains challenging. We report here on the effectiveness, safety, and prognostic factors associated with TARE for ICC in a combined analysis of the prospective observational CIRT studies (NCT02305459 and NCT03256994).

Thoracoscopic Anterior Vertebral Body Tethering in Lenke Type-1 Right Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis.

Background: Vertebral body tethering (VBT) is indicated for skeletally immature patients with progressive adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) who have failed or are intolerant of bracing and who have a major coronal curve of 40° to 65°. The vertebral body must be structurally and dimensionally adequate to accommodate screw fixation, as determined radiographically. The best indication for VBT is a flexible single major thoracic curve with nonstructural compensating lumbar and proximal thoracic curves (Lenke 1A or 1B).
