Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) remains a clinically challenging subtype due to its aggressive nature and limited treatment options post-neoadjuvant failure. Historically, capecitabine has been the cornerstone of adjuvant therapy for TNBC patients not achieving a pathological complete response (pCR). However, the integration of new modalities such as immunotherapy and PARP inhibitors has prompted a re-evaluation of traditional post-neoadjuvant approaches.

Article Synopsis
  • A study was conducted to compare stroke incidences and mortality rates in critically ill COVID-19 patients from low-and middle-income countries (LMICs) and high-income countries (HICs).
  • The results showed that stroke incidence was significantly higher in LMICs (35.7 per 1000 admitted-days) compared to HICs (17.6 per 1000 admitted-days), with patients from LMICs also facing higher mortality rates (43.6% vs. 29.2%).
  • The findings highlight the need for better stroke diagnosis and healthcare resource allocation in LMICs, as both higher income status and the presence of stroke are associated with increased risk of death

We collected medical records of obstetric litigations adjudicated at the litigation department of the Ministry of Health in Morocco over a period of three years (2015-2018), with the aim of assessing the current situation of professional responsibility in obstetrics and indentifying failures in obstetric litigation management as well as developing recommendations tailored to the Moroccan context.
