Parry-Romberg´s syndrome is a rare clinical entity characterized by progressive hemifacial atrophy associated with several systemic manifestations including ophthalmologic, neurologic, maxillofacial symptoms whose treatment should be multidisciplinary. We here report a case of Parry-Romberg´s syndrome diagnosed in a patient referred for management of chronic corneal ulcer following hypoesthesia, characterized by rare and difficult-to-treat features.

Gayet Wernicke encephalopathy (EGW) is a neurological emergency secondary to thiamine deficiency (vitamin B1). This is more often secondary to chronic alcoholism. The purpose of this study is to remind clinicians of some clinical signs different from ethylism, suggesting EGW as well as to report four cases characterized by different types of anomalies shown by MRI.

Percutaneous nephrolithotomy is a potentially invasive technique associated with a risk of complications, in particular bleeding. We report the case of a 70-year old female patient who had only left kidney and with a history of renal calculi treated with percutaneous nephrolithotomy. Persistent, average abundant haematuria had occurred two and a half months before, requiring computerized tomography (CT) scan.

Hydatid cyst of the kidney is a rare condition caused by visceral hydatidoses, accounting for 2-4% of all disease locations. It is due to the larval stage of taenia of dogs, the echinococcus granulosus, which is a real public health problem in some of the Mediterranean countries. Self- insertion of foreign body is a common practice for self-injure or erotic purpose in patients with chronic psychosis. The diagnosis is sometimes difficult if it is reported late or if the patient does not cooperate; hence the interest of complementary imaging assessment. Treatment was based on two steps: the extraction of the foreign body by endoscopy or open surgery and psychiatric treatment of the mental illness.

Giant hydronephrosis is defined as an extensive dilation of the pyelocaliceal cavities occupying a large part of the abdominal cavity or as a dilation filled up with more than a liter of urine overflowing the median line. This is due, more often, to pyelo-ureteral junction syndrome. Obstruction due to ureterocele complicated by lithiasis is a very rare cause of giant hydronephrosis.

The association between tumor of the urinary tract and hydronephrosis caused by a syndrome of the pyelo-ureteral junction is rare. Indeed, tumors of the upper urinary tract and hydronephrosis have generally a cause-effect relationship. Carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning is a very common reason for emergency ward admission, with symptoms varying from a simple headache and dizziness to severe neurological and cardiac impairment. We report here a rare clinical presentation of CO intoxication manifested by a severe cardiac impairment with intracardiac thrombus formation, acute limb ischemia, renal infarction, and carotid artery thrombosis. There have been initial reports of thromboembolic events in acute CO poisoning with intracardiac thrombosis being sparsely reported.

We offer a semiological analysis of an intrafamilial case of Folie à deux, a case with the clinical specificity of sharing not only delusional symptoms but also non-delusional psychotic elements.

We here report the case of a 1-year old infant admitted to Hospital with left inguinoscrotal swelling evolving over the last 4 months, gradually increasing in volume and becoming painful. Clinical examination showed conscious, afebrile patient with stable hemodynamic and respiratory status but with left, soft, inguinoscrotal, transilluminable swelling painful to palpation. Inguinal doppler echocardiogram objectified 30 mm multiloculated mass.

Background: Lipomas are common benign mesenchymal tumors composed of mature fat cells that may or may not be surrounded by a thin fibrous capsule. Lipomas involving the fingers are extremely rare but must be taken into account in the differential diagnosis of benign soft tissue masses of unusual localization.
