Rationale & Objective: Monoallelic predicted Loss-of-Function (pLoF) variants in IFT140 have recently been associated with an autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD)-like phenotype. This study sought to enhance the characterization of this phenotype.

Objective: To evaluate DOAE and DFR outcomes after switching to tralokinumab or Janus kinase inhibitor (JAKi).

Methods: This retrospective study included 106 patients discontinuing dupilumab because of DOAEs and/or DFR.

Background: The results of the OlympiA study led to the approval of a PARP inhibitor (olaparib) as adjuvant treatment for early breast cancer (eBC) at high risk of relapse in patients with a germline BRCA1/2 mutation (gBRCAm). However, the proportion of patients in routine practice who meet the "high-risk" criteria applied in the OlympiA study, and for whom gBRCAm testing would now be mandatory, remains unknown.

Patients And Methods: In this population-based study, we use unique data from the French specialized Côte d'Or Breast and Gynecological Cancer Registry, to assess the real-life proportion, and long-term prognosis of patients treated for eBC between 2005 and 2015 with standard treatment, and at "high risk" of relapse according to the OlympiA trial criteria.

Nirmatrelvir/ritonavir is a protease inhibitor antiviral drug indicated in the treatment of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 infections in high-risk patients for a severe disease. Unfortunately, ritonavir, used to boost nirmatrelvir pharmacokinetics, can also inhibit or induce the metabolism of other co-administered drugs substrates. Timely diagnosis is one of the most serious challenges faced by people living with a rare disease (PLWRD), and this study estimates that in Europe, the average total diagnosis time (TDT) is close to 5 years. We investigated the duration of the TDT for PLWRD in Europe, the difficulties associated with their diagnosis odyssey and the main determinants of diagnosis delays for all rare diseases (RD). We conducted a survey of PLWRD and their families using Rare Barometer, the survey initiative of EURORDIS-Rare Diseases Europe.

Background: Carfilzomib, a new proteasome inhibitor indicated for patients with relapsed/refractory myeloma, has been associated with cases of thrombotic microangiopathy (CFZ-TMA). Association of body mass index with long-term outcomes in older adults hospitalized for COVID-19: an observational study.

Both underweight and obesity have been associated with poor prognosis in COVID-19. In an older populations of patients hospitalized for SARS-CoV-2 infection, we aimed to evaluate the association between body mass index (BMI) and short and long-term prognosis. Among 434 consecutive patients aged ≥ 70 years and hospitalized for suspected COVID-19 at a university hospital, 219 patients (median age of 83 years, 53% male) testing positive for COVID-19 and for whom BMI was recorded at admission, agreed to participate.

Impact of Exercise Intensity on Cerebral BDNF Levels: Role of FNDC5/Irisin.

The positive effects of physical exercise (EX) are well known to be mediated by cerebral BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), a neurotrophin involved in learning and memory, the expression of which could be induced by circulating irisin, a peptide derived from Fibronectin type III domain-containing protein 5 (FNDC5) produced by skeletal muscle contraction. While the influence of EX modalities on cerebral BDNF expression was characterized, their effect on muscle FNDC5/Irisin expression and circulating irisin levels remains to be explored. The present study involved Wistar rats divided into four experimental groups: sedentary (SED), low- (40% of maximal aerobic speed, MAS), intermediate- (50% of MAS) and high- (70% of MAS) intensities of treadmill EX (30 min/day, 7 days).

Background: Emotional eating is defined as a nonpathological eating behavior, whereas binge-eating disorder (BED) is defined as a pathological eating behavior. While different, both share some striking similarities, such as deficits in emotion regulation and inhibition. Previous research has suggested the existence of an "eating continuum" that might reflect the increased severity of overeating behaviors, that is, from nonpathological overeating to BED.
