Background: Results of conventional induction chemotherapies in primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) need to be improved. Ibrutinib, a BTK inhibitor, and lenalidomide, an immunomodulatory drug, have shown promising results at relapse, supporting to further assess their individual use in combination with high-dose methotrexate-based chemotherapy.
Methods: Patients with newly diagnosed PCNSL were randomized to receive four 28-day cycles of ibrutinib or lenalidomide in combination with R-MPV (rituximab, methotrexate, procarbazine, vincristine and prednisone) in a 3 + 3 design.

We present adult normalized data for MindPulse (MP), a new tool evaluating attentional and executive functioning (AEF) in decision-making. We recruited 722 neurotypical participants (18-80 years), with 149 retested. The MP test includes three tasks: Simple Reaction Time (SRT), Go/No-go, and complex Go/No-go, involving perceptual components, motor responses, and measurements of reaction time (RT) and correctness.

Background: Benefit of early awake prone positioning for COVID-19 patients hospitalised in medical wards and who need oxygen therapy remains to be demonstrated. The question was considered at the time of COVID-19 pandemic to avoid overloading the intensive care units. We aimed to determine whether prone position plus usual care could reduce the rate of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) or intubation or death as compared to usual care alone.

Background: Necrotizing soft tissue infections (NSTIs) are rare life-threatening bacterial infections. Few data are available regarding neutropenic patients with NSTIs. Our objectives were to describe the characteristics and management of neutropenic patients with NSTIs in intensive care units (ICUs).

Introduction: In early cervical cancer (EEC), 10 to 15% of patients without nodal metastasis (N-) will suffer from recurrences with further similar survival as N+ patients. However, no clinical, imaging or pathological risk-factor is today available to identify them. In the present study, we hypothesized that the N- histologically characterized patients who present a poor prognosis could be patients for whom metastasis are missed by classical procedure.

The heterotaxy syndrome is a type of syndrome that involves multiple visceral abnormalities, vascular ones and associated with left isomerism. Malformation of gastroenterologic system includes polysplenia (segmented spleen or multiple splenules), agenesis (partial or complete) of the dorsal pancreas and anomalous of the inferior vena cava implantation. Here, we describe and show the anatomy of a patient with left side inferior vena cava, situs ambiguous (complete common mesentery), polysplenia, and short pancreas.

Introduction: Gaucher disease is an autosomal recessive genetic disorder. It is caused by a deficiency of the lysosomal enzyme, glucocerebrosidase which leads to an accumulation of glucosylceramide in the macrophages. Splenomegaly, hepatomegaly, cytopenias (anemia, thrombocytopenia) and bone disorders are the main symptoms.

Background: Support programs are provided to people with diabetes to help them manage their disease. However, adherence to and persistence in support programs are often low, making it difficult to demonstrate their effectiveness.
Aim: To identify the determinants of patients' perceived interest in diabetes support programs because it may be a powerful determinant of effective participation in such programs.

Introduction: Among the cognitive domains impaired in Parkinson's disease (PD), social cognition has received particular attention in recent years. Nevertheless, attributional bias, a social-cognitive subdomain, has not yet been studied in this population, despite its potential relationship with neuropsychiatric symptoms, and despite the possibility that deep-brain stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus, an effective treatment for disabling motor symptoms, worsens cognitive impairment. The present study therefore compared the attributional bias of patients with PD (stimulated and nonstimulated subgroups) with that of controls.

An exacerbated inflammatory response to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection is believed to be one of the major causes of the morbidity and mortality of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Neuromodulation therapy, based on vagus nerve stimulation, was recently hypothesized to control both the SARS-CoV-2 replication and the ensuing inflammation likely through the inhibition of the nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells pathway and could improve the clinical outcomes as an adjunct treatment. We proposed to test it by the stimulation of the auricular branch of the vagus nerve, i.
