In patients with transplant-eligible newly diagnosed multiple myeloma, induction therapy with a quadruplet regimen prior to autologous transplant is the standard of care. The phase III IFM2020-02-MIDAS study (NCT04934475) assessed a minimal residual disease (MRD)-driven consolidation and maintenance strategy following induction with isatuximab, carfilzomib, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone (IsaKRD). Here, we report safety and efficacy outcomes of six 28-day cycles of IsaKRD.

Methods: The COHESion study is a national prospective multicenter multidisciplinary cohort recruiting both adults or children with the spectrum of eosinophilic disorders (including reactive HE/HES [HE/HES-R], idiopathic HES [HES-I], lymphocytic HES [HES-L], neoplastic HE/HES [HE/HES-N], HE of unknown significance [HE-US], as well as IgG4-related disease [IgG4RD] or ANCA-negative eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis [EGPA] overlaps).

Condylar process fractures remain a matter of ongoing controversy in maxillofacial surgery because of variety of opinions and proposed treatment modalities offered in the literature. The trend is toward open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) whenever there is displacement or dislocation combined with unstable occlusal conditions. The fundamental treatment goals are anatomical fixation and early return to function.

Background: First-line standard-of-care for unresectable, pleural mesothelioma (PM) changed with the phase 3 CheckMate 743 study results, showing that nivolumab plus ipilimumab (Nivo + Ipi) significantly extended overall survival (OS) versus platinum + pemetrexed chemotherapy for PM (median OS 18.1 versus 14.1 months; hazard ratio: 0.

Background: The tumor mutational burden (TMB) is high in melanomas owing to UV-induced oncogenesis. While a high TMB is a predictive biomarker of response to PD-1 inhibitors, it may be associated with the rise of resistant clones to targeted therapy over time. We hypothesized that survivals may depend on both the sun-exposure profile of the site of primary melanoma and the type of systemic treatment.

Objectives: To describe the characteristics, treatment and outcome of isolated ANCA-associated scleritis at diagnosis compared with idiopathic scleritis with negative ANCA tests.
Methods: This retrospective multicentre case-control study was performed within the French Vasculitis Study Group (FVSG) network and in three French tertiary ophthalmologic centres. Data from patients with scleritis without any systemic manifestation and with positive ANCA results were compared with those of a control group of patients with idiopathic scleritis with negative ANCA tests.

Introduction: Predictors for mortality and toxicity in older patients with cancer are mainly studied in cohorts with various cancers at different stages. This study aims to identify predictive geriatric factors (PGFs) for early death and severe chemotherapy related adverse events (CRAEs) in patients aged ≥70 years with metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer (mNSCLC).
Material And Methods: This is a secondary analysis of the multicenter, randomized, phase 3 ESOGIA trial that compared, for patients ≥70 years with mNSCLC, a treatment algorithm based on performance status and age to another algorithm based on geriatric assessment.

Purpose: Infectious encephalitis (IE) is a severe disease which requires intensive care unit (ICU) admission in up to 50% of cases. We aimed to describe characteristics, management and outcomes of IE patients who required ICU admission.
Materials And Methods: Ancillary study focusing on patients with ICU admission within the ENCEIF cohort, a French prospective observational multicentre study.

Background: European guidelines order management of patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) less than 12 hours. They encourage healthcare networks to rapid coronary reperfusion strategy depending on the distance of the patient from the PCI center.
Objective: To determine impact of out-of-hospital presentation of patients with STEMI in remote areas within the framework of a care network, and to define the degree of compliance with local recommendations, and its prognostic impact.

Genetic diagnosis of familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) remains unexplained in 30 to 70% of patients after exclusion of monogenic disease. There is now a growing evidence that a polygenic burden significantly modulates LDL-cholesterol (LDL-c) concentrations. Several LDL-c polygenic risk scores (PRS) have been set up.

Background: Transcatheter closure of a symptomatic prosthetic paravalvular leak (PVL) is feasible, but there is presently no conclusive evidence to show consistent efficacy. We aimed to identify predictors of clinical success after transcatheter PVL closure.
Methods: Consecutive patients referred to 24 European centers for transcatheter PVL closure in 2017 to 2019 were included in a prospective registry (, FFPP).

Purpose: Analyze the diagnostic value for subscapularis (SSC) tendon tears, their correlation between pain and strength on clinical tests, and compare them with intraoperative arthroscopic findings to prove their diagnostic value.
Methods: 110 consecutive patients undergoing arthroscopic rotator cuff repair were reviewed and allocated to isolated SSC (n = 39) and combined anterosuperior tendon tear (n = 71) groups and analyzed. Preoperative clinical testing included belly press (BPT), bear hug (BHT), lift-off (LOT), palm-up (PUT), and Jobe test (JT).

Prognostic and risk factors for upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) might have changed overtime because of the increased use of direct oral anticoagulants and improved gastroenterological care. This study was undertaken to assess the outcomes of UGIB in light of these new determinants by establishing a new national, multicenter cohort 10 years after the first. Consecutive outpatients and inpatients with UGIB symptoms consulting at 46 French general hospitals were prospectively included between November 2017 and October 2018.

Aims: Periprocedural myocardial infarctions have been reported in the setting of planned percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). We assessed the prevalence of nonculprit artery acute myocardial infarction (NCAMI) and its relationship with coronary artery characteristics, final infarct size, and 1-year adverse clinical outcomes in a population of anterior ST-elevated myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients.
Methods And Results: Late gadolinium-enhanced cardiac magnetic resonance (LGE-CMR) studies were performed within 7 days of admission in 129 anterior STEMI patients from the CIRCUS trial treated by primary PCI.
Objective: To compare the effectiveness and safety of laparoscopic sacropexy (LS) and transvaginal mesh (TVM) at 4 years.
Design: Extended follow up of a randomised trial.
