We demonstrate the influence mechanism on the optical property of CsPbBr during purification of solution with different protonated levels and polarities. During the purification process, organic groups originating from oleic acid (OA) and PbBr impurity on the surface of CsPbBr nanocrystals can be removed using high polarity aprotic and protonic solvents, and the number of Br vacancies ( ) can be reduced. The protonic polar solvent can not only etch the organic groups on the surface of nanocrystals, causing surface reconstruction and particle growth of nanocrystals, but also enter into the lattice of CsPbBr and react with the embedded CsPbBr.

Hydrogen peroxide (HO), an important reactive oxygen species (ROS) with unique destructive oxidation properties, can be produced in lysosomes to fight off pathogens. Although many fluorescent probes have been developed for the detection and imaging of HO, the development of a ratiometric fluorescent probe for HO detection and imaging in lysosomes and an inflammation model remains rather scarce. Therefore, it is important to develop an efficient tool for monitoring HO in inflamed tissues to evaluate the physiological and pathological relationship between inflammation and lysosomal HO.

As electronic devices tend to be integrated and high-powered, thermal conductivity is regarded as the crucial parameter of electronic components, which has become the main factor that limits the operating speed and service lifetime of electronic devices. However, constructing continuous thermal conductive paths for low content particle fillers and reducing interface thermal resistance between fillers and matrix are still two challenging issues for the preparation of thermally conductive composites. In this study, 3D-oriented carbon fiber (CF) thermal network structures filled with boron nitride flakes (BN) as thermal conductive bridges were successfully constructed.

We developed a new ligand and adjuvant dual-assisted room temperature colloidal method for the synthesis of highly luminescent and stable CsPbBr nanoparticles, in which acetone, oleamine (OM) and oleic acid (OA) were used as precursors, while water and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) were used as adjuvants. In this process, we explored the influencing factors of process parameters (such as the amount of water, the standing time of precursors, and the molar ratio of raw materials), and found that CsPbBr synthesized by water + DMSO can not only change the morphology and promote crystallization but also improve the lattice strain, reduce the lattice defects and optimize the passivation effect, so as to improve the luminescence properties. Simultaneously, we also found that the pc-LED made of CsPbBr can still emit bright green light after 4344 h of operation, showing excellent stability and making it promising for solid-state lighting application.

Two novel non-fullerene acceptors, namely BZIC-2Br and Y9-2Br, were synthesized by employing a ladder-type electron-deficient-based fused ring central with a benzotriazole core. Y9-2Br is obtained by extending the conjugate length of BZIC-2Br. Compared with BZIC-2Br, Y9-2Br possesses a lower optical bandgap of 1.

First principles calculations have been performed to comparatively reveal hydrogen solubility and diffusivity at grain boundaries of BCC and FCC PdCu phases. It is found that the temperature-dependent hydrogen solubility at BCC Σ3 (112) GB of PdCu seems much higher than that in BCC PdCu bulk, while hydrogen solubility in FCC Σ3 (111) GB of PdCu is much lower than that in its corresponding FCC bulk. Calculations also reveal that grain boundary has an important effect on hydrogen diffusion of BCC and FCC PdCu, , hydrogen diffusivities of BCC Σ3 (112) and FCC Σ3 (111) grain boundaries of PdCu seem much smaller and bigger than those of its corresponding bulks, respectively.

The chiral dirhodium(ii) tetracarboxylate-catalyzed enantioselective intramolecular Büchner reaction of donor/donor-carbenes was reported and a series of valuable chiral polycyclic products were synthesized. Both aryloxy enynones and diazo compounds were efficient carbene precursors for this reaction. Excellent yields (up to 99%) and outstanding enantioselectivities (up to >99% ee) were achieved under standard conditions.

Socioeconomic deprivation has been linked to detrimental healthcare outcomes. We sought to examine whether patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) from socioeconomically disadvantaged areas experience worse survival outcomes and how it interacts with other factors. In this population-based study, patients with CRC diagnosed between 2007 to 2015 in the SEER program were reviewed.

Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide despite advances in knowledge in cancer biology and options of various targeted therapies. Efforts in identifying innovative and effective therapies are still highly appreciated. Targeting bromodomain and extra terminal (BET) proteins that function as epigenetic readers and master transcription coactivators is now a potential cancer therapeutic strategy.

The conventional P2-type cathode material NaNiMnO suffers from an irreversible P2-O2 phase transition and serious capacity fading during cycling. Here, we successfully carry out magnesium and calcium ion doping into the transition-metal layers (TM layers) and the alkali-metal layers (AM layers), respectively, of NaNiMnO. Both Mg and Ca doping can reduce O-type stacking in the high-voltage region, leading to enhanced cycling endurance, however, this is associated with a decrease in capacity.

The discrepancy between the trend in the diffusion coefficient of a lithium ion ( ) and that in the activation energy of ion hopping signals hidden factors determining ion transport kinetics in layered olivine phosphate materials (LiMPO). Combining density functional theory (DFT) calculations and the Landau-Zener electron transfer theory, we unravel this hidden factor to be the electronic coupling between redox centers of the host materials. The ion transport process in LiMPO is newly described as an ion-coupled electron transfer (ET) reaction, where the electronic coupling effect on is considered by incorporating the electronic transmission coefficient into the rate constant of the transfer reaction.

Facile preparation of ionic porous networks (IPNs) with large and permanent porosity is highly desirable for CO capture and transformation but remains a challenge. Here we report a one-pot base-mediated construction of nitrogen-rich IPNs through a combination of nucleophilic substitution and quaternisation chemistry from H-imidazole. This strategy, as proven by the model reactions of 1-imidazole or 1-methyl-1-imidazole with cyanuric chloride, allows for fine regulation of porosity and physicochemical properties, leading to nitrogen-rich IPNs featuring abundant ionic units and radicals.

Development of a covalent-organic framework (COF)-based Z-scheme heterostructure is a promising strategy for solar energy driven water splitting, but the construction of a COF-based Z-scheme heterostructure with well-defined architecture, large contact area and intimate contact interfaces is scarce. Herein, we fabricated a direct Z-scheme heterostructure COF-metal sulfide hybrid (T-COF@CdS) with shell-core architecture by self-polymerization of 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxaldehyde and 2,4,6-tris(4-aminophenyl)-1,3,5-triazine on CdS. The formed C-S chemical bonding between T-COF and CdS could provide a very tight and stable interface.
