Indole-fused pyridines are an important motif in pharmaceuticals and functional molecules. A visible-light induced Ru(bpy)Cl·6HO catalyzed radical cascade sulfonylation/cyclization strategy for the synthesis of indole-fused pyridine derivatives was developed. Diverse indole-fused pyridines bearing different functional groups were obtained in moderate to good yields.

To investigate the value of prognostic nutrition index (PNI) and systemic immunoinflammatory index (SII) for predicting pathological responses of patients with advanced gastric cancer (GC) after neo-adjuvant chemotherapy (NACT). The clinicopathological data of 326 patients with advanced GC who received NACT in Xiangya School of Medicine, Central South University (The First People's Hospital of Changde City) from January 2017 to December 2021 were retrospectively collected. The SII and PNI of patients were calculated.

To discuss the mechanism and clinical application of EGFR-TKI and ALK/ROS1 inhibitors in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), we reviewed recent available data mainly from PubMed. We found that chemotherapy, progression-free survival (PFS), objective response rate (ORR), and quality of life of patients with advanced NSCLC can be greatly improved in these drugs medication compared with conventional chemotherapy. Though many questions like resistance to EGFR-TKI and ALK/ROS1 inhibitors exist, molecular targeted therapy is an important therapeutic method for the management of NSCLC.
