Purpose: The rarity of breast mucinous carcinoma (BMC) makes it challenging to study the prognosis of this disease across diverse racial populations. Anorexia Caused by Hyperchloremic Metabolic Acidosis Following Ileal Conduit Diversion: A Case Report.

Hyperchloremic metabolic acidosis is a known complication following ileal conduit urinary diversion, often arising from urinary reabsorption in the ileum, which leads to chloride retention and bicarbonate loss and, though often asymptomatic, can produce clinically significant symptoms, particularly in patients with underlying renal impairment. A 75-year-old woman with a history of bladder cancer underwent cystectomy with ileal conduit diversion and presented on postoperative day 47 with anorexia, hypotension, and weight loss; laboratory findings revealed hyperchloremic metabolic acidosis with elevated serum chloride. The patient's acidosis gradually improved with sodium bicarbonate and Ringer's solution, stabilizing her blood pressure, creatinine, and acid-base balance, and she was discharged with outpatient follow-up.

Direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC) could be an alternative, but data on their efficacy and safety in complex and cyanotic CHD patients are scarce.

Combined pyrotinib and fulvestrant for hormone receptor-positive and HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer: A multicenter, single-arm, phase II trial.

This multicenter, single-arm, phase II clinical trial (NCT04034589) evaluated the efficacy and safety of pyrotinib combined with fulvestrant in patients with HR-positive/HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer who had experienced trastuzumab treatment failure. A total of 46 patients were enrolled, receiving pyrotinib orally once daily and fulvestrant intramuscularly on days 1 and 15 of cycle 1, followed by monthly doses on day 1.
