Systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) with infection evidence (known as sepsis) and septic shock (severe sepsis with hemodynamic instability relentless on fluid resuscitation) are major healthcare problems, affecting millions of individuals around the world and killing about one-third affected every year.
