Patient-reported outcome, clinician-reported outcome, and patient satisfaction with treatment by crisis resolution teams: a multicenter pre-post study of outcome and associated factors in Norway.

Background: Crisis resolution teams (CRTs) have become a part of mental health services in many high-income countries. Many studies have investigated the impact of CRTs on acute admissions to inpatient units, but very few studies have investigated patient-reported and clinician-reported outcomes for CRT service users. Our aims were to study patient-reported and clinician-reported outcomes of CRT treatment, how the outcomes were associated with characteristics of the service user and the treatment, and whether outcomes were different across CRTs.

Association between cumulative exposure periods of flupentixol or any antipsychotics and risk of lung cancer.

Background: Preclinical evidence suggests that certain antipsychotic medications may inhibit the development of lung cancer. This study aims to investigate the association between incident lung cancer and different cumulative exposure periods of flupentixol or any antipsychotics.

Methods: Using electronic health records from the Hospital Authority in Hong Kong, this nested case-control study included case participants aged 18 years or older with newly diagnosed lung cancer after initiating antipsychotics between January 1, 2003, and August 31, 2022.

Domains of life satisfaction and perceived health and incidence of chronic illnesses and hospitalization: evidence from a large population-based Chinese cohort.

Background: Global life satisfaction has been consistently linked to physical health. A deeper and culturally nuanced understanding of which domains of satisfaction may be responsible for this association has implications for developing novel, scalable, and targeted interventions to improve physical health at the population level.

Objectives: This cohort study draws participants from the China Family Panel Studies (CPFS), a nationally representative cohort of 10,044 Chinese adults to assess the independent associations between three important domains of life satisfaction (and their changes) and indicators of physical health.

Coping, Social Support and Loneliness during the COVID-19 Pandemic and Their Effect on Depression and Anxiety: Patients' Experiences in Community Mental Health Centers in Norway.

Little is known about psychiatric patients' experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to investigate associations of coping strategies, social support and loneliness with mental health symptoms among these patients. : We recruited 164 patients from Community Mental Health Centers in June-July 2020.

Accessibility and interventions of crisis resolution teams: a multicenter study of team practices and team differences in Norway.

Background: Components of crisis resolution teams' (CRTs) practices have been defined in recommendations and a fidelity scale, and surveys have reported how team leaders describe CRT practices. However, studies on CRTs have not measured and reported details of the crisis intervention provided to individual service users. The present study aimed to measure how various components of CRT practice were provided to individual service users and differences in practice between CRTs.

Similarities and differences between service users' and carers' experiences of crisis resolution teams in Norway: a survey.

Background: Crisis resolution team (CRT) care in adult mental health services is intended to provide accessible and flexible short-term, intensive crisis intervention to service users experiencing a mental health crisis and involve their carers (next of kin). Research on users' and especially carers' experiences with CRT care is scarce and is mostly qualitative in nature.

Methods: Altogether, 111 service users and 86 carers from 28 Norwegian CRTs were interviewed with The Service User and Carer Structured Interviews of the CORE Crisis Resolution Team Fidelity Scale Version 2.

Variability in the psychological impact of four waves of COVID-19: a time-series study of 60 000 text-based counseling sessions.

Background: Continuous exposure to stressors can lead to vulnerability and, in some cases, resilience. This study examined the variation in its psychological impact across the first four waves of COVID-19 in Hong Kong.

Methods: Transcripts from Open Up, an online text-based counseling service, between January 2019 and January 2021 were analyzed ( = 60 775).

Fidelity to an evidence-based model for crisis resolution teams: a cross-sectional multicentre study in Norway.

Background: Crisis resolution teams (CRTs) are specialized multidisciplinary teams intended to provide assessment and short-term outpatient or home treatment as an alternative to hospital admission for people experiencing a mental health crisis. In Norway, CRTs have been established within mental health services throughout the country, but their fidelity to an evidence-based model for CRTs has been unknown.

Methods: We assessed fidelity to the evidence-based CRT model for 28 CRTs, using the CORE Crisis Resolution Team Fidelity Scale Version 2, a tool developed and first applied in the UK to measure adherence to a model of optimal CRT practice.

Female Sexual Assertiveness and Sexual Satisfaction Among Chinese Couples in Hong Kong: A Dyadic Approach.

Western studies have demonstrated that female sexual assertiveness is positively associated with sexual satisfaction in a committed heterosexual relationship. Furthermore, the ability of women to refuse sex has been shown to protect them from unwanted sexual contact and to lead to fewer sexual victimization experiences and less risky sexual behavior. However, there is little research on female sexual assertiveness that included both the own (actor effect) and partner (partner effect) impact of female sexual assertiveness on sexual satisfaction from a dyadic approach, involving both members of a couple.

Dyadic Association between Sexual Dysfunction and Sexual Satisfaction: A Cross-Sectional Survey of Heterosexual Couples in Hong Kong.

Substantial evidence has demonstrated that sexual dysfunction is negatively associated with the sexual satisfaction of individuals in a committed heterosexual relationship. However, little is known about their relationship based on couple data, especially in non-Western societies. We extended this study to examine the extent to which men's and women's sexual dysfunction were associated with their own as well as their partners' sexual satisfaction.

Social security is an important social and public policy measure to help address poverty in any contemporary society. The Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) system in Hong Kong provides a safety net for those aged children and adults below 65 years old who cannot support themselves financially. It is designed to bring their income up to a prescribed level to meet their basic needs.

Safe but isolated - an interview study with Iraqi refugees in Sweden about social networks, social support, and mental health.

Background: Problems with social networks and social support are known to be associated with mental ill-health in refugees. Social support after migration promotes resilience.

Aim: To study how Iraqi refugees who arrived in Sweden after the year 2000 perceived their social networks and social support, and to relate the observed network characteristics and changes to the refugees' mental health and well-being.
