Recently, the International Federation of Associations of Anatomists (IFAA) published guidelines that could restrict the appearance of cadaveric images in commercial anatomical resources such as textbooks and other educational products. These guidelines state that the donor must expressly consent to using such images for this purpose.

Lasers from the erbium family have been investigated to activate irrigation with sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), improving the disinfection depth of the dentinal tubules of the root canal walls during root canal treatment. However, the possibility of laser-activated irrigation (LAI) in retro-cavity preparation has not been investigated to the date. The aim of our experimental study is to evaluate the efficacy of NaOCl gel penetration inside the dentinal tubules when activated during retro-cavity preparation, comparing passive ultrasonic activation (PUI) and Er,Cr:YSGG LAI.

These articles were then ranked in descending order according to their citation counts and the top 100 were selected for further analysis.

Anatomists and morphologists have been striving to achieve this goal since the late nineteenth century when the first Anatomical Nomenclature was created in Basel in 1895. Over the years, various versions of the International Anatomical Terminology have been published in Spanish, following the guidelines of the International Federation of Associations of Anatomists (IFAA).

Background: Diode laser (DL) can be used in endodontics both for its bactericidal effect inside the root canal system (RCS) and for photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) to accelerate the repair of periradicular bone tissue.
Clinical Cases: This work presents two cases of pulp necrosis/asymptomatic apical periodontitis (AAP) that were treated with 940-nm DL, administered both to disinfect the root canal and to apply PBMT to the periradicular tissues. The cases were analysed by Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT).

Our aim was to give a morphometric description of the interproximal bone between the anterior maxillary teeth of subjects with class III facial deformity, who were candidates for segmented Le Fort I osteotomy. We measured the width of the interproximal bone from the upper right canine to the upper left canine in cone-beam computed tomographic images of 35 subjects, and identified five interproximal areas of measurement. The lower and upper measurements were established 5mm and 10mm from the cervical crest of the interproximal bone.
