Cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis is a sight-threatening condition predominantly affecting immunocompromised individuals, such as those with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). We aimed to present an observational case report on CMV retinitis following Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection and to review the literature on the molecular and cellular changes in CMV and SARS-CoV-2 infections and how they may influence each other. The current effort focuses on creating an effective adsorbent for Cr (VI) adsorption due to the growing need to address Cr (VI) pollution in aqueous solutions. Chitosan, a biopolymer and polysaccharide with several functional sites, is immobilized on alginate using the ion exchange technique. Both prior to and following Cr (VI) adsorption, the material's shape, crystallinity, and functional groups are reported.

Cluster analysis of flow cytometry determined the frequencies and absolute numbers of B-cell subsets and divided the cohort of 78 candidates into two distinct clusters, one with shorter and one with longer dialysis duration. The immune profiles of the clusters differed depending on whether frequencies or absolute counts were considered.
