Background: Caloric vestibular stimulation (CVS) is a well-established neurological diagnostic technique that also induces many phenomenological modulations, including reductions in phantom limb pain (PLP), spinal cord injury pain (SCIP), and central post-stroke pain.
Objective: We aimed to assess in a variety of persistent pain (PP) conditions (i) short-term pain modulation by CVS relative to a forehead ice pack cold-arousal control procedure and (ii) the duration and repeatability of CVS modulations. The tolerability of CVS was also assessed and has been reported separately.

Background: Acquired brain injuries (ABIs), such as stroke and traumatic brain injury, commonly cause cognitive-communication disorders, in which underlying cognitive difficulties also impair communication. As communication is an exchange with others, close others such as family and friends also experience the impact of cognitive-communication impairment. It is therefore an internationally recommended best practice for speech-language pathologists to provide communication support to both people with ABI and the people who communicate with them.

Background: Cognitive therapy and behavioural activation are both widely applied and effective psychotherapies for depression, but it is unclear which works best for whom. Individual participant data (IPD) meta-analysis allows for examining moderators at the participant level and can provide more precise effect estimates than conventional meta-analysis, which is based on study-level data.
Aims: This article describes the protocol for a systematic review and IPD meta-analysis that aims to compare the efficacy of cognitive therapy and behavioural activation for adults with depression, and to explore moderators of treatment effect.

Cancer is predominantly a disease of aging, and older adults represent the majority of cancer diagnoses and deaths. Older adults with cancer differ significantly from younger patients, leading to important distinctions in cancer treatment planning and decision-making. As a consequence, the field of geriatric oncology has blossomed and evolved over recent decades, as the need to bring personalized cancer care to older adults has been increasingly recognized and a focus of study.
