Introduction: Hypophysitis is an inflammatory disorder of the pituitary gland. It can manifest variously, with endocrinological and neuro-ophthalmologic symptoms and signs, due to the compression of sellar and parasellar structures.
Case Representation: Although hypophysitis is rare, this pituitary disease can occur during pregnancy or in the postpartum period.
Introduction: Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is the commonest gynecological cancer affecting women in Western populations. To predict patient risk, the 2020 edition of the World Health Organization (WHO) Classification of Tumors of the Female Genital Tract stressed the importance of integrated histo-molecular classification of the disease. This survey analysis poses attention on the most frequently used immunohistochemical and molecular markers adopted in daily categorization of ECs in European laboratories.

Background: TP53 gene plays a major role in the negative control of cell proliferation and in the regulation of signaling cascades. TP53 mutation may have a relevant role in the malignant transformation of thyroid cells as well as thyroid tumor progression. TP53 mutation has been detected only in few well differentiated thyroid carcinomas and is absent in benign conditions.

We urgently need answers to basic epidemiological questions regarding SARS-CoV-2 infection in pregnant and postpartum women and its effect on their newborns. While many national registries, health facilities, and research groups are collecting relevant data, we need a collaborative and methodologically rigorous approach to better combine these data and address knowledge gaps, especially those related to rare outcomes. We propose that using a sequential, prospective meta-analysis (PMA) is the best approach to generate data for policy- and practice-oriented guidelines.

Giant cell glioblastoma (GC-GBM) is a rare variant of IDH-wt GBM histologically characterized by the presence of numerous multinucleated giant cells and molecularly considered a hybrid between IDH-wt and IDH-mutant GBM. The lack of an objective definition, specifying the percentage of giant cells required for this diagnosis, may account for the absence of a definite molecular profile of this variant. This study aimed to clarify the molecular landscape of GC-GBM, exploring the mutations and copy number variations of 458 cancer-related genes, tumor mutational burden (TMB), and microsatellite instability (MSI) in 39 GBMs dichotomized into having 30-49% (15 cases) or ≥ 50% (24 cases) GCs.

In Europe and the United States, approximately 1100 and 1800 liver transplantations, respectively, are performed every year for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), compared with an annual incidence of 65,000 and 39,000 new cases, respectively. Because of organ shortages, proper patient selection is crucial, especially for those exceeding the Milan criteria. Downstaging is the reduction of the HCC burden to meet the eligibility criteria for liver transplantation.

Membrane-bound CD200 is overexpressed in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and there is some evidence that its soluble ectodomain (sCD200) could also be involved in the pathophysiology and the disease. However, very little is known about sCD200's prognostic significance. sCD200 was tested at diagnosis in 272 patients with CLL and in 78 age- and sex-matched healthy subjects using a specific human CD200 (OX-2 membrane glycoprotein) ELISA kit.

There is a lack of knowledge on the possible influence of systemic conditions on peri-implantitis. The aim of this case-control study is to evaluate the difference in terms of oral pathogens' concentrations in the peri-implant sulcus of a group of patients affected by metabolic syndrome (Mets) compared to healthy subjects. For each patient, peri-implant sulcular biofilm samples were obtained by inserting two sterile endodontic paper points in the deepest aspect of the peri-implant sulcus for 30 s.

Temporomandibular disorders are multi-factorial conditions that are caused by both physical and psychological factors. It has been well established that stress triggers or worsens TMDs. This paper looks to present early research, still unfolding, on the relationship between COVID-19 as a major life stressor and TMDs.

Background And Objectives: The purpose of this ex vivo study is to investigate whether it is possible to pre-determine and set the optimal separation times for the SWEEPS Er:YAG laser pulses pair during laser-assisted irrigation of endodontic root canals based on known lateral dimensions of the endodontic access cavities of different types of teeth.
Study Design/materials And Methods: As the optimal SWEEPS laser pulse pair separation for enhanced shockwave generation depends on the life-cycle of a single-pulse bubble, measurements of the oscillation time T of the Er:YAG laser-generated bubble were made in 23 different endodontic access cavities of different types of teeth progressively widened in three different steps, into larger cavities, for a total of 69 cavities of different shapes and sizes. Different fiber-tip geometries (flat and radial), laser pulse energies (10 mJ and 20 mJ) and depth of fiber-tip insertion (2 mm and 4 mm) were also investigated.
