Purpose: The main objective of this study, involving 11 patients, is to share our experience on an integrated treatment modality, namely, the use of cellular therapy simultaneously with surgical reconstruction. Published works show that the implantation of monocytes in ischemic tissue enhances healing by providing neo-angiogenesis, a key mechanism in tissue regenerative processes.
Materials And Methods: Our approach included the utilization of autologous monocytes and endothelial precursor cells in the bone graft itself to improve the success rate of the integration of the bone graft and its long-term viability/survival by promoting angiogenesis.

Objective: Despite several studies that have highlighted the harmful effects of alcohol consumption on cognitive functions it remains unclear whether certain brain areas are more sensitive than others are or whether alcohol causes widespread cognitive deficit. Moreover, the role of continued abstinence has yet to be clarified regarding the quality of recovery on the different cognitive domains. The aim of this 1-year longitudinal study was to evaluate the recovery of cognitive deficits in the medium (6 months) and long term (12 months) after the interruption of drinking.

Introduction: Overactive bladder (OAB) and urinary incontinence, although not life-threatening, are very bothersome chronic health conditions. The limitations of current pharmacological treatment urge the need for novel drugs with alternative mechanisms of action. Huge efforts in this area of research led to the synthesis of several selective and potent β3-adrenoceptor agonists that gained relevance through research during the late 80s and 90s.
