Introduction: Despite the acknowledged interconnection between socioeconomic environment and economic crime, research on the relationship between Goods and Services Tax (GST) and economic crime is scarce because of their complicated relationship. This study examines the impact of the GST increase on the illicit tobacco trade.

Methods: Based on China's tobacco excise tax shock in 2015, this study employs a difference-in-difference (DID) method to analyze the impact of the GST increase on economic crime.

Machine learning-based radiomics for guiding lymph node dissection in clinical stage I lung adenocarcinoma: a multicenter retrospective study.

Background: Preoperative assessment of lymph node status is critical in managing lung cancer, as it directly impacts the surgical approach and treatment planning. However, in clinical stage I lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), determining lymph node metastasis (LNM) is often challenging due to the limited sensitivity of conventional imaging modalities, such as computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography/CT (PET/CT). This study aimed to establish an effective radiomics prediction model using multicenter data for early assessment of LNM risk in patients with clinical stage I LUAD.

Background: The deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap is universally considered the gold standard technique for breast reconstruction (BR), though it cannot always be proposed to patients with insufficient donor-site volume. We explore the efficacy of autologous fat transfer (AFT) of the Holm abdomen zone IV in the retropectoral plane during DIEP flap reconstruction (lipo-DIEP flap), to enhance the volume provided by the abdominal donor site in patients with low body mass index (BMI).

Existing studies have established a linear relationship between urban environments and adolescent health, but the combined impacts of subjective and objective environments on multi-dimensional health status (including physical and mental health) have not been fully explored. Furthermore, while some studies have examined the non-linear relationship between urban environments and adult health, research specifically focusing on adolescents is sparse. Using Kunming, China, as a case study, we employ Random Forest model to examine the non-linear relationship between subjective/objective neighborhood environments and adolescent physical/mental health.

Methods:This paper builds an unbalanced panel model to empirically analyze the impact of controlling shareholders' equity pledges on corporate innovation and its heterogeneous characteristics. It also looks at the moderating role of corporate financing constraints and the mediating role of equity incentives, using data from A-share listed companies in China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry from 2015 to 2022.

We propose a modular addition strategy-regulated polymerization-induced self-assembly (PISA) system to effectively control the reaction kinetics and self-assembly morphologies. We validated this strategy by performing experiments on a well-established PISA system. Two categories of modular addition strategies, , the multistep addition strategy and the constant rate addition strategy, were investigated.

Bioequivalence Study of Bedaquiline Fumarate Tablets in Healthy Chinese Subjects.

Bedaquiline fumarate tablets are a novel oral antimycobacterial drug. This study assessed the bioequivalence of a generic bedaquiline fumarate tablet compared to a reference tablet under fasting (n = 44) and fed (n = 24) conditions. Conducted as a single-center, randomized, open-label, 2-sequence, crossover trial, 68 participants were randomly assigned to receive a 100-mg dose of either the test or reference tablet, with a 42-day washout period between doses.
