Relationship between periodontitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: a bibliometric analysis from 1945 to 2023.

Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and periodontitis are common chronic diseases. The presence of either of the two diseases increases the risk of the other, whereas managing one reduces the risk of the other. This study aimed to summarize the current state of research and trends in this field using bibliometric analysis and visualization.

Individualized management of immunosuppressants in liver transplant recipients by using a novel immune score system.

Background: There is no reliable means to evaluate the immune status of liver transplant recipients. We proposed a novel score model, namely Mingdao immune cell analysis and Mingdao immune score system, to quantify the immunity.

Methods: Data from those who underwent a single liver transplant between January 2017 and June 2020 at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, were collected.

A novel tetranuclear Cu(ii) complex for DNA-binding and anticancer activity.

A novel tetranuclear Cu(ii) complex (TNC) was successfully synthesized and characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The interaction of the complex with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) has been studied by UV-vis absorption titration, fluorescence technology and molecular docking. The results indicated that TNC could bind to the DNA through an intercalative mode.

Clofarabine is approved for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in pediatric patients aged 1 to 21 years. Its pharmacokinetic (PK) exposure is strongly related to clinical outcomes and high risk of adverse reactions. PK-guided dosing of nucleoside analogs has the potential to improve survival and reduce toxicity in children.

Lymphocytes play an important role in antitumor immunity following organ transplantation. However, the function of granzyme BCD19B cells on the hepatocellular carcinoma cells from liver transplant recipients remains largely unknown; we aimed to analyze the function and elucidate the mechanisms behind it. Blood samples and clinical data from liver transplant recipients and healthy controls at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital as well as from a validation cohort were collected and analyzed.

Isolated Langerhans cell histiocytosis of the stomach: a case report and literature review.

Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare disorder characterized by an abnormal proliferation of pathologic Langerhans cells. The clinical presentation of LCH is highly variable, ranging from a single-system limited disease, to severe, multi-organ diseases with high mortality. LCH usually affects children but very rarely involves adults.

Background: Bone morphogenetic protein-10 (BMP10), a novel member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family, has been indicated as a possible tumour suppressor in prostate and breast cancer. However, its role in urothelial tumours remains unknown. In the present study, we examined the role of BMP10 in urothelial cancer cells and the expression of BMP10 in human urethelial cancer of the bladder.
