Department of Stomatology Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Capital Medical University No.8, Gongti South Road, Chaoyang District Beijing 100020, China

Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and periodontitis are common chronic diseases. The presence of either of the two diseases increases the risk of the other, whereas managing one reduces the risk of the other. This study aimed to summarize the current state of research and trends in this field using bibliometric analysis and visualization.

April 2024

Department of Hepatobiliary and Pancreaticosplenic Surgery, Medical Research Center, Beijing Organ Transplant Center, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Capital Medical University No. 8 Gongtinan Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing 100020, China.

Background: There is no reliable means to evaluate the immune status of liver transplant recipients. We proposed a novel score model, namely Mingdao immune cell analysis and Mingdao immune score system, to quantify the immunity.

Methods: Data from those who underwent a single liver transplant between January 2017 and June 2020 at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, were collected.

A novel tetranuclear Cu(ii) complex (TNC) was successfully synthesized and characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The interaction of the complex with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) has been studied by UV-vis absorption titration, fluorescence technology and molecular docking. The results indicated that TNC could bind to the DNA through an intercalative mode.

Clofarabine is approved for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in pediatric patients aged 1 to 21 years. Its pharmacokinetic (PK) exposure is strongly related to clinical outcomes and high risk of adverse reactions. PK-guided dosing of nucleoside analogs has the potential to improve survival and reduce toxicity in children.

Apolipoproteins (Apos) play an important role in regulating plasma lipid concentration. Complex disorders of Apos are highly related with diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular and other diseases. Direct measures of lipoprotein fractions for risk assessment suffer from inaccuracy in the dyslipidemia and pathological states.

Decreased granzyme BCD19B cells are associated with tumor progression following liver transplantation.

Am J Cancer Res

September 2021

Department of Hepatobiliary and Pancreaticosplenic Surgery, Medical Research Center, Beijing Organ Transplant Center, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Capital Medical University No.8 Gongtinan Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing 100020, China.

Lymphocytes play an important role in antitumor immunity following organ transplantation. However, the function of granzyme BCD19B cells on the hepatocellular carcinoma cells from liver transplant recipients remains largely unknown; we aimed to analyze the function and elucidate the mechanisms behind it. Blood samples and clinical data from liver transplant recipients and healthy controls at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital as well as from a validation cohort were collected and analyzed.

Bloodstream infections remain prevalent in intensive care units, leading to a public health challenge worldwide. Routine diagnosis is mainly based on blood culture, but the technique is limited by its time-consuming process and relatively low sensitivity. Emerging molecular diagnostic tools, such as 16S metagenomics, have been developed for detecting bacteria in the blood samples of septic patients.

Liver cancer is ranked as the 5 major type of cancer and is responsible for significant number of human deaths across the world. Recent investigations have shown microRNAs (miRs) to be involved in diverse cellular processes. Additionally, they have been shown to exhibit therapeutic implications in treatment of different diseases including cancer.

Isolated Langerhans cell histiocytosis of the stomach: a case report and literature review.

Int J Clin Exp Pathol

December 2018

Department of Pathology, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Capital Medical University No.8, Gongti South Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing, China.

Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare disorder characterized by an abnormal proliferation of pathologic Langerhans cells. The clinical presentation of LCH is highly variable, ranging from a single-system limited disease, to severe, multi-organ diseases with high mortality. LCH usually affects children but very rarely involves adults.

Background: Bone morphogenetic protein-10 (BMP10), a novel member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family, has been indicated as a possible tumour suppressor in prostate and breast cancer. However, its role in urothelial tumours remains unknown. In the present study, we examined the role of BMP10 in urothelial cancer cells and the expression of BMP10 in human urethelial cancer of the bladder.
