[Risk factors for mesioangular and vertical impactions of mandibular third molars based on logistic regression analysis].

Purpose: To explore the risk factors for mesioangular and vertical impactions of the mandibular third molars and to construct a predictive model based on logistic regression analysis.

Methods: Clinical data of 243 mandibular third molars collected from June 2021 to December 2023 at Tianjin Stomatology Hospital were classified into the eruption group and the impaction group, with the latter including mesioangular and vertical unilateral impactions. The clinical data were subjected to univariate analysis to screen for statistically significant factors, followed by multivariate analysis using logistic regression to further delineate risk factors for mandibular third molar impaction, with the construction of a nomogram for prediction.

[Advances in in vitro assessment models and screening methods for blood glucose-lowering medications].

Diabetes, a common metabolic condition, is recognized by the worldwide public health community as a serious chronic illness. International new drug discovery has long been dominated by the study and creation of blood glucose-lowering medications. Important phases in the development process of these medications include the in vitro assessment model and screening methods, which can dramatically lower the costs and risks of subsequent clinical trials and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of drug development.

[Mechanism of Huangqi Simiao Decoction in treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus based on network pharmacology and metabonomics].

This article analyzed the mechanism of Huangqi Simiao Decoction(HSD) for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM). The component targets of HSD and the related disease targets of T2DM were screened through network pharmacology. The protein-protein interaction(PPI) network of intersecting targets and the drug-component-intersecting target network were constructed to screen the potential active ingredients and targets.

[Comparison of the ability of four different kinds of nickel-titanium instruments to prepare simulated resin to simulate curved root canal forming].

Purpose: To compare the forming ability of four kinds of nickel-titanium instrument preparation resin for simulated curved root canal.

Methods: A total of 40 single bend resin simulated root canals were randomly divided into 4 groups with 10 in each group. Four kinds of nickel-titanium instruments (ProTaper, HyFlex EDM, WaveOne Gold and Reciproc Blue) were used for root canal preparation, and divided into group A, group B, group C and group D.

[Rationality evaluation of Shuanghuanglian Injection combined with Ampicillin Sodium for Injection based on sequential analysis].

This study was aimed to explore the effect of Zingiberis Rhizoma extract on rats with antibiotic-associated diarrhea(AAD), and reveal the modulation of gut microbiota during alleviation of AAD. AAD rat model was successfully established by exposing rats to appropriate antibiotic mixed solution. [Mechanism of Jinqi Jiangtang Tablets in treatment of pancreatic β cell dysfunction based on network pharmacology and molecular docking technology].

The present study investigated the therapeutic efficacy and potential mechanism of Jinqi Jiangtang Tablets(JQJT) on pancreatic β cell dysfunction based on network pharmacology and molecular docking technology. TCMSP platform was used to retrieve the chemical components and targets of the three Chinese herbal medicines of JQJT. The genes were converted to gene symbol by the UniProt, and its intersection with targets related to pancreatic β cell function in GeneCards and CTD databases was obtained.

Narrow-band UVB combined with compound clobetasol propionate can improve the therapeutic effect in hand eczema patients.

Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect of narrow-band UVB combined with compound clobetasol propionate on hand eczema patients.

Methods: From June 2017 to June 2020, 102 patients with hand eczema in our hospital were recruited for this study and divided into group A (GA) and group B (GB). The 50 patients in GA were treated with narrow-band UVB irradiation only, and the 52 patients in GB were treated with compound clobetasol propionate in addition to the treatment administered to GA.

Objective: To determine the efficacy of periodontal tissue regeneration (PTR) combined with orthodontic treatment in patients with periodontitis.

Methods: A total of 118 patients with periodontitis admitted to our hospital between March 2017 and May 2019 were enrolled. Among them, 56 patients were treated with PTR as a regular group, while the rest 62 were treated with PTR combined with orthodontic treatment as a joint group.

Methods: A total of 41 patients with PD admitted to our hospital between September 2017 and August 2019 were enrolled into an observation group (obs group), and 35 healthy individuals during the same period were enrolled into a control group (con group). A qRT-PCR assay was carried out to quantify miR-155 and miR-146a expression, and the relationship between the expression of miR-155 and miR-146a and severity and clinical indicators of PD was analyzed.

[Exploration on rationality evaluation approach of drug combination medication based on sequential analysis and machine learning].

Drug combination is a common clinical phenomenon. However, the scientific implementation of drug combination is li-mited by the weak rational evaluation that reflects its clinical characteristics. In order to break through the limitations of existing evaluation tools, examining drug-to-drug and drug-to-target action characteristics is proposed from the physical, chemical and biological perspectives, combining clinical multicenter case resources, domestic and international drug interaction public facilities with the aim of discovering the common rules of drug combination.

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) often leads to aggressive local recurrence and increased metastasis, and vascular integrity and platelets are implicated in tumor metastasis. However, whether interactions between endothelial cells and platelets induce endothelial permeability in HCC after insufficient RFA remains unclear. Here, significantly increased CD62P-positive platelets and sP-selectin in plasma are observed in HCC patients after RFA, and tumor-associated endothelial cells (TAECs) activate platelets and are susceptible to permeability after heat treatment in the presence of platelets in vitro.

The efficacy and safety of remimazolam tosylate versus propofol in patients undergoing colonoscopy: a multicentered, randomized, positive-controlled, phase III clinical trial.

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of remimazolam tosylate versus propofol in patients undergoing colonoscopy. In this multicentered, blinded, randomized, active-controlled, non-inferior phase III trial, 384 eligible patients who were about to undergo colonoscopy were randomized as a ratio of 1:1 into remimazolam and propofol group. Procedure success was assessed and defined as the completion of colonoscopy without administration of rescue sedative agent or more than 5 top-ups of trial drug in any 15 minute-period after initial administration of trial drug.

Long-term exposure to low-intensity environmental noise aggravates age-related hearing loss via disruption of cochlear ribbon synapses.

Noise pollution is a major public hazard. Previous studies have shown that environmental noise affects the reorganization of the auditory cortex and leads to behavioral abnormality; however, the effects of long-term environmental noise exposure on the inner ear and hearing remain to be elucidated. In this study, we simulated environmental noise with a long-term 70 dB sound pressure level "white" noise, observed its effect on the inner ears of C57BL/6J mice, and developed an model for mechanistic studies.

Amplification of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and active mutant EGFRvIII occurs frequently in glioblastoma (GBM) and contributes to chemo/radio-resistance in various cancers, especially in GBM. Elucidating the underlying molecular mechanism of temozolomide (TMZ) resistance in GBM could benefit cancer patients.
