Efficacy of Platelet-Rich Plasma in the Treatment of Diabetic Foot Ulcer.

Introduction Diabetic foot complications leading to limb amputations pose a global health concern. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) gel has emerged as a promising method for ulcer healing, leveraging the growth factors provided by autologous PRP to enhance tissue healing. Therefore, we aimed to assess the frequency of the success of PRP therapy in the treatment of non-healing diabetic foot ulcers.

Cardiac Involvement in Monkeypox Outbreak.

Unusual presentations and uncommon clinical manifestations of Monkeypox (Mpox) in the current outbreak highlight the need to focus on cardiac symptoms of the virus. Owing to limited discussion regarding cardiac involvement in recent cases of Mpox, we conducted a scoping review to determine the range of existing research and provide a descriptive overview of the current literature on these manifestations. This review was conducted using a previously developed six-stage methodological approach and keeping in view the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR).

Level of cardiovascular fitness and it's relationship with physical activity and body mass index in young adults of Islamabad.

Objective: To determine the level of cardiovascular fitness in young adults, and to find the relationship of maximum oxygen uptake with body mass index and physical activity.

Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted at two private universities in Islamabad, Pakistan, from January to June 2019, and comprised subjects of both genders aged 18-25 years with normal cardiopulmonary system. Physical activity was measured usint the short form of International Physical Activity Questionnaire, while maximum oxygen uptake was measured using the Bruce protocol.
