Introduction: Human gait motion intention recognition is very important for the lower extremity exoskeleton robot to accurately synchronize and respond to the user's natural motion. And motion intention recognition is generally performed through sEMG. Deep learning neural networks perform well in dealing with high-dimensional data and nonlinear relationships such as sEMG, but different deep learning neural networks have their own advantages in dealing with different types of data.

Tropomodulin1 exacerbates inflammatory response in macrophages by negatively regulating LPS-induced TLR4 endocytosis.

Cell Mol Life Sci

September 2024

Hemorheology Center, Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University Health Science Center, Beijing, 100191, China.

The excessive inflammation caused by the prolonged activation of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and its downstream signaling pathways leads to sepsis. CD14-mediated endocytosis of TLR4 is the key step to control the amount of TLR4 on cell membrane and the activity of downstream pathways. The actin cytoskeleton is necessary for receptor-mediated endocytosis, but its role in TLR4 endocytosis remains elusive.

Short-term effect of low-dose roxadustat combined with erythropoiesis-stimulating agent treatment for erythropoietin-resistant anemia in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis.

Front Endocrinol (Lausanne)

July 2024

Department of Nephrology, Multidisciplinary Innovation Center for Nephrology, The Second Hospital, Cheeloo College of Medicine, Shandong University, Jinan, China.

Background: Erythropoietin resistance is present in some patients with chronic kidney disease, especially in those undergoing hemodialysis, and is often treated using roxadustat rather than iron supplements and erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs). However, some patients cannot afford full doses of roxadustat. This retrospective study investigated the efficacy of low-dose roxadustat combined with recombinant human erythropoietin (rhuEPO) therapy in 39 patients with erythropoietin-resistant renal anemia undergoing maintenance hemodialysis (3-4 sessions/week).

THBru attenuates diabetic cardiomyopathy by inhibiting RAGE-dependent inflammation.

Acta Pharmacol Sin

October 2024

State Key Laboratory of Frigid Zone Cardiovascular Diseases (SKLFZCD), Department of Pharmacology, College of Pharmacy, and Department of Cardiology, the Second Affiliated Hospital, Harbin Medical University, Harbin, 150000, China.

Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a complication of diabetes mellitus characterized by heart failure and cardiac remodeling. Previous studies show that tetrahydroberberrubine (THBru) retrogrades cardiac aging by promoting PHB2-mediated mitochondrial autophagy and prevents peritoneal adhesion by suppressing inflammation. In this study we investigated whether THBru exerted protective effect against DCM in db/db mice and potential mechanisms.

MiR-203 improves cardiac dysfunction by targeting PARP1-NAD axis in aging murine.

Aging Cell

March 2024

Department of Pharmacology (State-Province Key Laboratories of Biomedicine- Pharmaceutics of China, Key Laboratory of Cardiovascular Research, Ministry of Education), College of Pharmacy, Harbin Medical University, Harbin, China.

Heart aging is a prevalent cause of cardiovascular diseases among the elderly. NAD depletion is a hallmark feature of aging heart, however, the molecular mechanisms that affect NAD depletion remain unclear. In this study, we identified microRNA-203 (miR-203) as a senescence-associated microRNA that regulates NAD homeostasis.

Electronic address:

Peritoneal adhesion is a common abdominal surgical complication that induces abdominal haemorrhage, intestinal obstruction, infertility, and so forth. The high morbidity and recurrence rate of this disease indicate the need for novel therapeutic approaches. Here, we revealed the protective roles of tetrahydroberberrubine (THBru), a novel derivative of berberine (BBR), in preventing peritoneal adhesion and identified its underlying mechanism in vivo and in vitro.

Intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) demonstrates a gradually increased incidence and has developed into a major health problem worldwide. The nucleus pulposus is characterized by the hypoxic and avascular environment, in which hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) has an important role through its participation in extracellular matrix synthesis, energy metabolism, cellular adaptation to stresses and genesis. In this study, the effects of HIF-1α on mouse primary nucleus pulposus cells (MNPCs) exposed to TNF-α were observed, the potential mechanism was explored and a rabbit IVDD model was established to verify the protective role of HIF-1α on IVDD.

Rac1 is critically involved in the regulation of the actin cytoskeleton, neuronal structure, synaptic plasticity, and memory. Rac1 overactivation is reported in human patients and animal models of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and contributes to their spatial memory deficits, but whether Rac1 dysregulation is also important in other forms of memory deficits is unknown. In addition, the cell types and synaptic mechanisms involved remain unclear.
