Aim To investigate the correlation of body mass index (BMI) with severity of intervertebral disc degeneration. Methods The study enrolled patients who had undergone surgical intervention for a herniated disc at the Department of Neurosurgery of the Cantonal Hospital Zenica. Patients underwent thorough preoperative evaluation, including medical history, neurological and physical assessments, and radiological analysis.

- Among the 108 strains analyzed, a notable 84.3% showed resistance to trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole in standard broth, while over 90% were resistant to azithromycin in multiple testing environments.
- The findings suggest that alternative testing methods, like enriched broth, may improve understanding of antimicrobial resistance, indicating a need for further genomic studies to investigate the underlying mechanisms of resistance in these bacteria.

Methods Study included 99 male patients (48 who had AMI - patient group, and 51 healthy examinees without previous cardiovascular disease - control group). Introduction: Caesarean section is obstetrical surgery by which through incision of the abdominal wall and the lower uterine segment performs extraction of the fetus in the advanced stages of pregnancy and childbirth ends by abdominal myomectomy. Because of its significance it is one of the most important surgical procedures performed in gynecology and obstetrics.
Material And Methods: The goal of this study is to show the incidence of cesarean section in the Public Hospital in Travnik during 2012, and the most frequent indications for surgical completion of delivery.
