Today, virtual simulation environments create alternative hands-on practice opportunities for surgical training. In order to increase the potential benefits of such environments, it is critical to understand the factors that influence them. This study was conducted to determine the effects of training, used-hand, and experience, as well as the interactions between these variables, on endoscopic surgery skills in an educational computer-based surgical simulation environment.

Clinical Decision Support Systems: From the Perspective of Small and Imbalanced Data Set.

Clinical decision support systems are data analysis software that supports health professionals' decision - making the process to reach their ultimate outcome, taking into account patient information. However, the need for decision support systems cannot be denied because of most activities in the field of health care within the decision-making process. Decision support systems used for diagnosis are designed based on disease due to the complexity of diseases, symptoms, and disease-symptoms relationships.

Turkish Muslim Healers: A Qualitative Investigation of Hocas and Their Methods.

A vast majority of Turkish individuals are Muslim, and several Turkish individuals refer to traditional healers to get help for medical and psychological problems. The purpose of the present study was to investigate Turkish traditional healing methods and to delineate the kinds of presenting problems that the clients bring to healers, methods used by the healers, the healing process, and the effect of healing on the clients. For this purpose, 11 participants were interviewed.

The objective of this paper is to study the optimal control problem for the fractional tuberculosis (TB) infection model including the impact of diabetes and resistant strains. The aim of the present study was to evaluate relationships of Internet addiction (IA) and Internet gaming disorder (IGD) symptom severities with probable attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and aggression among university students, while controlling the effects of anxiety and depressive symptoms. The study was conducted with online survey among 1509 volunteered university students in Ankara who regularly use the Internet, among whom we conducted analyses related with IA. Among these students, 987 of them, who play video games, were included in the analyses related with IGD.

Detection of rheumatoid arthritis from hand radiographs using a convolutional neural network.

Introduction: Plain hand radiographs are the first-line and most commonly used imaging methods for diagnosis or differential diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and for monitoring disease activity. In this study, we used plain hand radiographs and tried to develop an automated diagnostic method using the convolutional neural networks to help physicians while diagnosing rheumatoid arthritis.

Linking leadership style and workplace procrastination: The role of organizational citizenship behavior and turnover intention.

The primary aim of the present study was to explore whether paternalistic or transformational leadership styles of supervisors were significantly related to workplace procrastination. In this paper, we extend the model of the Burgers (B) to the new model of time fractional Burgers (TFB) based on Liouville-Caputo (LC), Caputo-Fabrizio (CF), and Mittag-Leffler (ML) fractional time derivatives, respectively. We utilize the Homotopy Analysis Transform Method (HATM) to compute the approximate solutions of TFB using LC, CF, and ML in the Liouville-Caputo sense. This paper deals with a numerical simulation of fractional conformable attractors of type Rabinovich-Fabrikant, Thomas' cyclically symmetric attractor and Newton-Leipnik. Fractional conformable and β -conformable derivatives of Liouville-Caputo type are considered to solve the proposed systems. A numerical method based on the Adams-Moulton algorithm is employed to approximate the numerical simulations of the fractional-order conformable attractors.

Environmental Strategies of Affect Regulation and Their Associations With Subjective Well-Being.

Environmental strategies of affect regulation refer to the use of natural and urban socio-physical settings in the service of regulation. We investigated the perceived use and efficacy of environmental strategies for regulation of general affect and sadness, considering them in relation to other affect regulation strategies and to subjective well-being. Participants from Australia, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, India, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Sweden ( = 507) evaluated the frequency of use and perceived efficacy of affect regulation strategies using a modified version of the Measure of Affect Regulation Styles (MARS).

Finite Difference Method for Time-Space Fractional Advection-Diffusion Equations with Riesz Derivative.

In this article, a numerical scheme is formulated and analysed to solve the time-space fractional advection-diffusion equation, where the Riesz derivative and the Caputo derivative are considered in spatial and temporal directions, respectively. The Riesz space derivative is approximated by the second-order fractional weighted and shifted Grünwald-Letnikov formula. Based on the equivalence between the fractional differential equation and the integral equation, we have transformed the fractional differential equation into an equivalent integral equation.
