Objective: To investigate the effects of dexmedetomidine on renal function, inflammatory markers, and cognitive outcome, and to identify factors influencing early postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) in elderly patients undergoing hip replacement surgery.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 162 elderly patients who underwent hip replacement surgery at Cangzhou Central Hospital from March 2022 to May 2023. Patients were divided into a control group (without dexmedetomidine) and an experimental group (with dexmedetomidine).

Background: To assess the serum level of tumor necrosis factor receptor related factor 1 (TRAF1) in advanced lung cancer patients and its clinical significance.

Methods: In this retrospective study, the serum level of TRAF1 in 50 patients with stage III-IV lung cancer and 50 healthy people who received physical examination during the same period were detected and compared. The differences in serum TRAF1 level in patients with lung cancer in terms of gender, age, smoking status, pathological type, tumor location, TNM stage and other clinicopathological features were analyzed.

Objective: To explore the efficacy of epalrestat (Ep) combined with alprostadil (Alp) in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy (DN) and its impacts on renal fibrosis (RF) and inflammation and oxidative stress (OS)-related factors.

Methods: In this retrospective study, 120 patients with DN treated in the Cangzhou Central Hospital from January 2020 to January 2021 were selected as the research subjects. Among them, 80 cases treated with Ep combined with Alp were assigned to group A, and the rest 40 patients treated with Alp only were assigned to group B.

Objectives: To explore and analyze the correlation between lncRNA NEAT1 and serum hepcidin (HEPC) in the peripheral blood of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease patients.

Methods: 119 patients, confirmed to have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and admitted to our hospital from January 2017 to June 2019, were enrolled in the NAFLD group, and 100 healthy subjects during the same period were enrolled in the control group. We recorded the two groups' general information and routine laboratory examination results and performed correlation analyses on the lncRNA NEAT1 expressions in their peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and HEPC.

Objective: To explore the relationship of the size and concentration of low density lipoprotein (LDL) particles and high density lipoprotein (HDL) particles and the coronary stenotic degree of stable coronary artery disease.

Methods: Altogether 62 patients with coronary disease confirmed by coronary angiography treated in our hospital from March 2019 to March 2020 were selected as the observation group, and 62 healthy persons in the same period were chosen as the control group. The particle size of LDL and HDL protein complexes were measured and we then calculated the concentration ratio to explore the relationship between the two types of lipoprotein particles and the degree of coronary artery disease.

LncRNAs have been shown to invovled in the development of various cancers. However, the function and potential mechanism of PTCSC3 in cervical carcinoma progression remains unknown. In this reference, we showed that PTCSC3 expression was downregulated in 4 cervical carcinoma cell lines (Caski, Siha, Hela and C4-1) compared to control cell line (GH329).

Objective: The research was aimed to study the expression of ZEB1 and FOXO3a in NSCLC tissue, and to explore the effect of its expression on infiltration/metastasis of NSCLC.

Methods: Total of 130 pairs of NSCLC tumor tissue and adjacent normal tissue were collected from June 2013 to June 2015 in Cangzhou Central Hospital. The expression of ZEB1 and FOXO3a protein was detected by immunohistochemistry and Western blot, and mRNA by qPCR.

Background: Osteosarcoma is a kind of highly malignant tumor and the growth and metastasis is closely related to angiogenesis. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is an important angiogenesis-promoting factor. In the current study, we investigated the effects of suppressed VEGF on osteosarcoma and its molecular mechanism provided for a basis by targeting angiogenesis.

Objective: The aim of our study was to compare the clinical outcomes of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with domestic drug-eluting stents (DES) and off pump coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) for the treatment of unprotected left main coronary artery (ULMCA) disease.

Methods: A total of 227 patients with ULMCA disease and underwent revascularization was included. One hundred and six patients were treated with PCI with domestic DES implantation and 121 patients with off pump CABG.

Aberrant expression of microRNA-302a (miR-302a) has been frequently reported in some cancers excluding colorectal cancer (CRC). However, the role of miR-302a in CRC has not been reported. In this paper, we examined the effect of miR-302a overexpression on proliferation and invasion in CRC cells.

Aims: To study the relationship between thioredoxin-interacting protein (TXNIP) and pancreatic β-cell function in patients with impaired glucose regulation and patients with both impaired glucose regulation and hypertriglyceridemia.

Methods: We analyzed a population of 90 patients with impaired glucose regulation (IGR), 87 patients with IGR and hypertriglyceridemia, and 90 subjects with normal glucose tolerance (NGT). The levels of plasma TXNIP, a regulator of cellular oxidative stress, were measured.
