This study aimed to investigate the effects of topical liposomal clarithromycin in combination with (Glucantime) on cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) lesions. This pilot, randomized, double-blinded clinical trial was conducted on patients with CL lesions. Patients were randomly assigned to two groups: the first group received liposomal clarithromycin in combination with Glucantime for 28 days, while the second group received Glucantime and a placebo.

All typical epithelial cancers have a long latency period, sometimes 20 years or more, and if they are clinically detected, distinct genes may include infinite mutations. Long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) are a subset of RNAs that regulate many biological processes, including RNA processing, epigenetic control, and signal transduction.

Melanoma, an aggressive malignant tumor originating from melanocytes in humans, is on the rise globally, with limited non-surgical treatment options available. Recent advances in understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying immune escape, tumorigenesis, drug resistance, and cancer metastasis have paved the way for innovative therapeutic strategies. Combination therapy targeting multiple pathways simultaneously has been shown to be promising in treating melanoma, eliciting favorable responses in most melanoma patients.

In terms of female reproductive tract cancers, ovarian cancer remains the principal reason for mortality globally and is notably difficult to identify in its early stages. This fact highlights the critical need to establish prevention strategies for patients with ovarian cancer, look for new robust diagnostic and prognostic markers, and identify potential targets of response to treatment. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are one of the novel treatment targets in cancer treatment.

Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that the physiological changes in pregnancy can make pregnant patients more susceptible to more severe forms of this infection. Hence, the treatment of COVID-19 in pregnant women can be challenging. This study was designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Remdesivir in pregnant women with COVID-19.

Bipolar disorder (BD) is a severe mood disorder with uncertain causes and debilitating signs and symptoms. Gene expression is crucial to the pathophysiology of BD and could be influenced by genetic or epigenetic factors, by either direct modification of mRNA templates or by regulation of post-transcriptional translation. Recent evidence has shown that several critical processes in psychiatric diseases, such as neuronal activity or plasticity, synaptic transmission, and neuronal depolarization, have all been linked to circular RNAs (circRNAs).

Extracellular matrix (ECM) is a dynamic and complex environment regulating the cell fate and behavior. It is characterized by biophysical and biochemical properties specific for each tissue. Interestingly, hydrogels can serve as exceptional artificial cellular microenvironments as they can be designed to mimic the key features of the native ECM.

LncRNAs, or long non-coding RNAs, are a subset of RNAs that play a regulatory role in a wide range of biological functions, including RNA processing, epigenetic regulation, and signal transduction. Recent research indicates that lncRNAs play a key role in the development and spread of cancer by being dysregulated in the disease. In addition, lncRNAs have been linked to the overexpression of certain proteins that are involved in tumor development and progression.

Chronic exposure to methamphetamine (Meth) results in permanent central nervous system damage and learning and memory dysfunction. This study aimed at investigating the therapeutic effects of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMMSCs) on cognitive impairments in Meth addicted rats and comparing intravenous (IV) delivery with intranasal (IN) delivery of BMMSCs. Adult Wistar rats were randomly divided into 6 groups; Control; Meth-addicted; IV-BMMSC (Meth administered and received IV BMMSCs); IN-BMMSC (Meth administered and received IN BMMSCs); IV-PBS (Meth administered and received IV Phosphate-buffered saline (PBS); IN-PBS (Meth administered and received IN PBS).

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is an aggressive hematological malignancy and affected patients have poor overall survival (OS) rates. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a novel class of non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) with a unique loop structure. In recent years, with the development of high-throughput RNA sequencing, many circRNAs have been identified exhibiting either up-regulation or down-regulation in AML patients compared with healthy controls.

The conventional therapeutic approaches to treat autoimmune diseases through suppressing the immune system, such as steroidal and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, are not adequately practical. Moreover, these regimens are associated with considerable complications. Designing tolerogenic therapeutic strategies based on stem cells, immune cells, and their extracellular vesicles (EVs) seems to open a promising path to managing autoimmune diseases' vast burden.

Background: Dendritic cells, (DCs) as one of the important immune cell populations, are responsible for the initiation, development, and control of acquired immune responses. Myeloid dendritic cells can be used as a vaccine for several autoimmune diseases and cancers. Tolerogenic probiotics with regulatory properties can affect the maturation and development of immature dendritic cells (IDC) into mature DCs with certain immunomodulatory effects.
