Long COVID affects a significant number of children, yet clinician knowledge gaps and limited access to specialized care hinder effective management. With fewer than 20 pediatric long COVID clinics in the United States, many families must travel long distances for care. To address these challenges, a pediatric long COVID ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) program was developed to educate health care professionals on evidence-based care.

Uncompetitive inhibition is an effective strategy for suppressing dysregulated enzymes and their substrates, but discovery of suitable ligands depends on often-unavailable structural knowledge and serendipity. Hence, despite surging interest in mass spectrometry-based target identification, proteomic studies of substrate-dependent target engagement remain sparse. Herein, we describe a strategy for the discovery of substrate-dependent ligand binding.

When hydrogen is transported in a pipeline, the fatigue loading in the pipeline will enhance hydrogen accumulation and diffusion, thus increasing the risk of hydrogen-induced fracture. In this study, specimens are subjected to cyclic loading within an autoclave, where hydrogen gas pressure is varied to examine its impact on fatigue crack growth. The influence of hydrogen pressure and stress variations on the fatigue crack growth rate is investigated.

Increasing evidence shows that the COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted certain populations, particularly those facing structural marginalization, such as immigrants and refugees. Additionally, research highlights that structurally marginalized populations living with chronic conditions, such as cancer and/or mental health and addiction (MH&A) disorders, are more vulnerable to the adverse effects of COVID-19. These individuals face higher susceptibility to infection and worse health outcomes, including increased rates of hospitalization, severe illness, and death.

What is apoptosis? The Nomenclature Committee on Cell Death and numerous other pioneering cancer/p53 biologists use the terms "apoptosis" and "cell death" interchangeably, disregard the mind-numbing complexity and heterogeneity that exists within a tumor (intratumor heterogeneity), disregard the contribution of polyploid giant cancer cells (PGCCs; the root causes of therapy resistance and relapse) to this heterogeneity, and then propose novel apoptosis-stimulating anticancer strategies. This is shocking for the following three reasons. First, clinical studies reported since the 1990s have revealed that increased apoptosis in solid tumors is associated with increased tumor diversity and poor prognosis.
