Aims: To objectively characterize the spatial-velocity dynamics of the QRS-loop in the vectorcardiogram (VCG) of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
Methods: VCG was constructed as a space curve directly with three quasi-orthogonal leads I, aVF and V2 recorded by conventional ECG of 25 healthy individuals and 50 AMI patients. Spatial velocity (SV) of the dynamic QRS loop, spatial distance (SD), and spatial magnitude (SM) were recorded, along with axis-specific component attributes of vector magnitude such as ΔX, ΔY, and ΔZ.

Exposure to external environmental stimuli can lead to skin aging, pigmentation, hair loss, and various immune-mediated as well as connective tissue diseases. Although conventional treatments are routinely used and favoured, they fail to achieve an adequate balance between clinical and cosmetic outcomes. Exosomes are vesicles with a lipid bilayer released by several cell types.

Mitochondrial CPT1-mediated fatty acid β-oxidation (FAO) critically contributes to the accelerated metastatic expansion of triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). Hence, inhibition of FAO through active CPT1 targeting could be a promising therapeutic approach in anti-TNBC therapies. Herein, we strategically synthesized a pyrene chain end labelled copolymer bearing biotin pendants, CP4, that actively targets CPT1 and efficiently blocks FAO in metastatic TNBC.

Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is a common disorder in females, which significantly affects the quality of life in females. There are many consensus that describe the safety of childbearing after surgery for SUI, but still, a large proportion of surgeons worldwide recommend that women should wait to complete childbearing before pursuing surgical treatment for SUI. There is also some opinion that if patients conceive after surgical treatment for SUI, women should be delivered by cesarean section.

Background: Psoriasis (PS), vitiligo (VT), and (PR) are chronic skin diseases often occurring as a consequence of exaggerated immune responses. These skin manifestations can be triggered as a result of the molecular mimicry between viral protein (s) and host protein (s), which could generate auto-antibodies. In addition, it can be hypothesised that skin diseases are manifestations of the reduced immunity that is observed in chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV)-infected individuals.

Scrub typhus is a very important cause of acute undifferentiated febrile illness in the Asia-Pacific region. Haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a rare and life-threatening condition characterised by widespread immune system activation, resulting in tissue damage throughout multiple organ systems. HLH is categorised into primary HLH, arising from intrinsic defects in lymphocytes and macrophages, and secondary HLH, primarily triggered by infections or connective tissue disorders.

Background: Psychotherapists, while treating clients with a history of traumatic experiences, are exposed to vicarious trauma, which affects their mental health as well as their quality of caregiving. The present research tries to gain an insight into the lived experiences of psychotherapists while treating clients with traumatic experiences.
Methods: In-depth individual interviews were conducted with five psychotherapists (two males and three females) with a minimum duration of continuous professional practice of 3.

Microalgae are widely recognized for their capacity to generate value-added products in a variety of sectors, including the pharmaceutical and food industries, bioenergy industries and wastewater industries. The quality of a microalga is significantly influenced by its proliferation. Along with growth, the biochemical profile may also vary based on the nutrient that is supplemented.

End-to-side (ES) venous anastomosis is an established approach for head and neck reconstruction and has several benefits over conventional end-to-end (EE) anastomosis. However, this is not preferred by all, which may be due to technical preferences for an EE anastomosis by many surgeons. We present here our experience of routine ES venous anastomosis for head and neck reconstruction over the past 8 years.

Here, we present a pleiotropic nanomedicine-a smart, functionalized redox buffering nanoparticle-that may be used to treat hematological diseases, associated splenic hyperplasia, and issues related to restricted erythropoiesis. With a diameter of 5-7 nm, the spherical nanomaterial is made of manganese oxide and citrate. Here, we have produced the novel nanomaterial and, using cutting-edge electron microscopic and spectroscopic techniques, extensively assessed its redox buffering potential in vitro with its structural integrity.

This study was conducted in lower tier hospitals to calculate antibiotic and multiple antibiotic prescription rate (APR, MPR) for common infections and finding existing strength of health system for optimizing antibiotic prescription. We conducted a cross sectional convergent parallel mix-method study in eight lower tier hospitals of three districts of West Bengal, India.

Managing pruritic conditions is essential due to their significant impact on patients' quality of life. Chronic urticaria (CU), characterized by persistent itching and hives, severely affects daily activities and sleep. CU includes chronic inducible urticaria and chronic spontaneous urticaria, with the latter lacking identifiable triggers, making treatment especially challenging.

Background & objectives Subclinical joint bleed is a matter of concern in individuals with hemophilia on prophylaxis. Ultrasonography (USG) is mostly used for the screening of subclinical bleeds in such individuals but it has its own limitations. Thus a more comprehensive technology is required for the detection of the same.

Although with the improvement in the socio-economic status and the health care system, its incidence has decreased in developed nations, pyogenic and amoebic liver abscesses are still high in resource-poor countries. Low socioeconomic conditions, improper hygiene, lack of awareness, and often a delay in diagnosis can lead to fatal complications and high mortality.
