Background: The use of advanced diagnostic methods, such as high-resolution CT or PET-CT scans, are limited in low and middle-income countries (LMICs). In gastric cancer, occult peritoneal disease may be present in up to 20% of cases, limiting the benefits of surgical resection. Accurate staging of gastric cancer is essential to ensure optimal patient management and prevent undue morbidity from unnecessary surgery.

"Hot quadrate lobe sign" refers to visualization of caudate lobe of liver due to excess accumulation of radiotracer secondary to superior vena cava obstruction. Collateral channels are formed between thoracic and mediastinal vessels; internal mammary through the paraumbilical vessels which drain blood to the left portal vein and into the caudate lobe of liver. It was first described on Tc99-m sulfur colloid scan.

Insulinoma is a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour that primarily leads to episodes of hypoglycaemia due to inappropriate and excessive secretion of insulin. It classically presents with neuroglycopenic and autonomic sympathetic symptoms, which resolve promptly with glucose administration. Elevated level of insulin and Cpeptide in the presence of low plasma glucose level and absence of plasma sulfonylurea are diagnostic features.

Tolosa-Hunt Syndrome (THS) is an exceptionally rare disorder characterised by recurrent episodes of excruciating ophthalmoplegia, commonly affecting one side of the face and involving the third, fourth, sixth, and fifth cranial nerves. This syndrome results from non-specific inflammation affecting the cavernous sinus, superior orbital fissure (SOF), and/or orbital apex. In this case report, we present the clinical features, diagnostic evaluation, and management of a 46-year-old female with THS.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is characterized by rapid and irregular contraction of the left atrium (LA). Impacting LA haemodynamics, this increases the risk of thrombi development and stroke. Flow conditions preceding stroke in these patients are not well defined, partly due the limited resolution of 4D flow magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Currently, Unilateral biportal endoscopy is widely used in the surgical treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis. To investigate the feasibility of bilateral synchronous UBE to unilateral laminotomy and bilateral decompression(BS-UBE-ULBD) for treating two-level lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS). Sixty-four patients with two-level lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) treated with BS-UBE-ULBD from October 2022 to January 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.

Background: Immunotherapy and radiotherapy play crucial roles in the transformation therapy of locally advanced pancreatic cancer; however, the exploration of effective predictive biomarkers has been unsatisfactory. With the rapid development of radiomics, next-generation sequencing, and machine learning, there is hope to identify biomarkers that can predict the efficacy of transformative treatment for locally advanced pancreatic cancer through simple and non-invasive clinical methods. Our study focuses on using computed tomography (CT), positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT), gene mutations, and baseline carbohydrate antigen 199 (CA199) to identify biomarkers for predicting the efficacy of transformative treatment.

Background: Cardiac Computed Tomography (CCT) is increasingly used for evaluation of congenital heart disease (CHD) in patients of all ages. Pediatric and adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) surgical programs require high quality CCT imaging as part of the multimodality imaging support expected of comprehensive care centers. Despite these expectations, there are no benchmarks or defined programmatic elements specific to the performance of CCT in patients with CHD.

A rapid review of 21 studies into 20 unique digital health tools found significant benefits to utilizing the following 4 categories of tools: (1) educational videos increased patient knowledge of radiotherapy (RT) and reduced treatment-related anxiety; (2) extended reality tools improved patient understanding of RT and reduced anxiety, with virtual reality coaching enhancing tumor motion reproducibility during CT simulation; (3) digital patient engagement tools helped patients manage treatment symptoms, increased health literacy, and improved quality of life; (4) an electronic feedback form decreased patient anxiety and increased RT knowledge. Most interventions were single-use and implemented before the start of RT.

Robotic systems for minimally invasive procedures, particularly in interventional oncology, have advanced significantly, especially for percutaneous interventions guided by CT, Cone-beam CT, and MRI. These systems, which include needle-guiding and needle-driving robots, enhance the precision of procedures like biopsy and tumor ablation. Needle-guiding robots plan and align the needle, while needle-driving robots autonomously advance it, improving needle placement accuracy, enabling out-of-plane insertion, and reducing radiation exposure.

Developments in robotic interventions have greatly affected the field of interventional radiology (IR), particularly when combined with imaging modalities such as fluoroscopy and cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). The aim of this review is to compare and evaluate the safety, precision, and clinical outcomes of fluoroscopy and CBCT-guided robotic interventions in IR. An extensive search of the literature on PubMed and Google Scholar databases was conducted up to November 2024.

Trunk muscle decrease is reportedly associated with an increased risk of multiple adverse clinical outcomes. Acute aortic dissection (AAD) involves a systemic inflammatory response which is associated with exaggerated muscle protein catabolism. AAD requires prolonged hospitalization and potentially exacerbates muscle size decrease.

Background: Coronary artery calcification (CAC) detected through chest computed tomography (CT) strongly predicts cardiovascular events in asymptomatic individuals undergoing primary prevention. Few studies with limited sample sizes have investigated the predictive value of CAC for cardiovascular complications in COVID-19. This study examined the impact of CAC on cardiovascular complications using a large-scale COVID-19 database.

We report a case of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in a patient in their 50s, presenting with spastic paraparesis and bulbar palsy, treated with lung volume recruitment therapy (LVRT). From early stage in the disease, vital capacity (VC), lung insufflation capacity (LIC) and ALS Functional Rating Scale-Revised scores were regularly measured, and LVRT was continuously performed at home. After 10 years, the patient had complete limb function loss and required nutritional management via gastrostomy and full assistance with daily activities.

Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is a highly aggressive disease, often diagnosed at an advanced stage and with limited treatment options. In recent years, immunotherapy has been approved in combination with chemotherapy in the first line setting of extensive stage disease (ES-SCLC). However, only 10-15% of patients with ES-SCLC treated with chemoimmunotherapy (CT-IO) experience a long-term benefit.
