Deep learning methods have been widely used for various glioma predictions. However, they are usually task-specific, segmentation-dependent and lack of interpretable biomarkers. How to accurately predict the glioma histological grade and molecular subtypes at the same time and provide reliable imaging biomarkers is still challenging.

Rationale And Objectives: To propose a novel MRI-based hyper-fused radiomic approach to predict pathologic complete response (pCR) to neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) in breast cancer (BC).
Materials And Methods: Pretreatment dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) MRI and ultra-multi-b-value (UMB) diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) data were acquired in BC patients who received NAT followed by surgery at two centers. Hyper-fused radiomic features (RFs) and conventional RFs were extracted from DCE-MRI or UMB-DWI.

Background: The Bari-SolidAct randomized controlled trial compared baricitinib with placebo in patients with severe COVID-19. A post hoc analysis revealed a higher incidence of serious adverse events (SAEs) among SARS-CoV-2-vaccinated participants who had received baricitinib. This sub-study aimed to investigate whether vaccination influences the safety profile of baricitinib in patients with severe COVID-19.

: In adults, epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) is associated with metabolic syndrome (MS) and coronary artery disease. EAT thickness is increased in obese youth, but total EAT volume and its correlation with cardiovascular risk factors have not been studied. : To determine EAT volume in adolescents and its association with obesity and cardiovascular risk factors.

Objectives: The primary objective of this study was to analyze the correlation between the pain experienced at the time of a hamstring muscle injury and the hyperintense T2 weighted volume of the lesion measured on MRI. The secondary objectives were to analyze the differences in this pain with the lesion grade and the hamstring muscle head involved.
Design: We performed a retrospective analysis of the data collected in a prospective, multicenter, noninterventional cohort study (HAMMER).

Segmentation in medical imaging is an essential and often preliminary task in the image processing chain, driving numerous efforts towards the design of robust segmentation algorithms. Supervised learning methods achieve excellent performances when fed with a sufficient amount of labeled data. However, such labels are typically highly time-consuming, error-prone and expensive to produce.

Purpose: This study aimed to characterize spinal cord microstructure in healthy subjects using high angular resolution diffusion imaging (HARDI) and tractography.
Methods: Forty-nine healthy subjects (18-50 years, divided into 2 age groups) were included in a prospective study. HARDI of the cervical spinal cord were acquired using a 3T MRI scanner with: 64 directions, b‑value: 1000s/mm, reduced field-of-view (zonally magnified oblique multi-slice), and opposed phase-encoding directions.

Purpose: The aim was to find bony landmarks of the pelvis for the origins and routes of uterine arteries, hoping to improve speed and safety of embolization procedures (leiomyoma, post-partum bleedings…).
Methods: We carried out a study based on the analysis of CT-angiographies in arterial phases of whole-body scans. Two measurements were done per artery, one from the origin of uterine arteries to a first perpendicular line passing through the lowest part of the sacroiliac joint, another one from the beginning of the parametrial segment from a second parallel line passing by the acetabular roof.

Objectives: To assess the image quality of ultra-high-resolution (UHR) virtual monoenergetic images (VMIs) at 40 keV compared to 70 keV, using spectral photon-counting CT (SPCCT) and dual-layer dual-energy CT (DECT) for coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA).
Methods And Materials: In this prospective IRB-approved study, 26 high-risk patients were included. CCTA was performed both with an SPCCT in UHR mode and with one of two DECT scanners (iQOn or CT7500) within 3 days.

Cerebrovascular segmentation is a crucial preliminary task for many computer-aided diagnosis tools dealing with cerebrovascular pathologies. Over the last years, deep learning based methods have been widely applied to this task. However, classic deep learning approaches struggle to capture the complex geometry and specific topology of cerebrovascular networks, which is of the utmost importance in many applications.

Background: Currently, there are no available recommendations or guidelines on how to perform MRI monitoring in the management of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD). The issue is to determine a valuable MRI monitoring protocol to be applied in the management of NMOSD and MOGAD, as previously proposed for the monitoring of multiple sclerosis.
Objectives: The objectives of this work are to establish proposals for a standardized and feasible MRI acquisition protocol, and to propose control time points for systematic MRI monitoring in the management of NMOSD and MOGAD.

Significance: Intraoperative optical imaging is a localization technique for the functional areas of the human brain cortex during neurosurgical procedures. These areas can be assessed by monitoring cerebral hemodynamics and metabolism. Robust quantification of these biomarkers is complicated to perform during neurosurgery due to the critical context of the operating room.

3D printed biomaterial implants are revolutionizing personalized medicine for tissue repair, especially in orthopedics. In this study, a radiopaque bismuth oxide (BiO) doped polycaprolactone (PCL) composite is developed and implemented to enable the use of diagnostic X-ray technologies, especially spectral photon counting X-ray computed tomography (SPCCT), for comprehensive tissue engineering scaffold (TES) monitoring. PCL filament with homogeneous BiO nanoparticle (NP) dispersion (0.

In this study, we explore positron emission tomography (PET)/magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) joint reconstruction within a deep learning framework, introducing a novel synergistic method. We propose a new approach based on a variational autoencoder (VAE) constraint combined with the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) optimization technique. We explore three VAE architectures, joint VAE, product of experts-VAE and multimodal JS divergence (MMJSD), to determine the optimal latent representation for the two modalities.

Background: Durvalumab, an anti-PD-L1 immune checkpoint inhibitor, after radio-chemotherapy (RCT) has changed the management of locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (LA NSCLC). A series of retrospective studies have investigated different cut-off of lymphocyte count (LyC) and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) to predict survival in LA NSCLC. None of these studies has validated their threshold in an independent group of patients.

In this work, we investigate a new deep learning reconstruction method of blood flow velocity within deformed vessels from contrast enhanced X-ray projections and vessel geometry. The principle of the method is to perform linear or nonlinear dimension reductions on the Radon projections and on the mesh of the vessel. These low dimensional projections are then fused to obtain the velocity field in the vessel.

Background: Due to the ongoing organ shortage, marginal grafts with steatosis are more frequently used in liver transplantation, leading to higher occurrences of graft dysfunction. A histological analysis is the gold standard for the quantification of liver steatosis (LS), but has its drawbacks: it is an invasive method that varies from one pathologist to another and is not available in every hospital at the time of organ procurement. This study aimed to compare non-invasive diagnostic tools to a histological analysis for the quantification of liver steatosis.
