Objective: Patients with symptomatic lower extremity artery disease (LEAD) should have an optimal management in terms of lipid goal [i.e. controlled LDL-cholesterol (LDLc)] and medical treatment (triple therapy with an antiplatelet agent, a statin and an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor or a angiotensin-receptor antagonist).

Background And Aims: Diet has an essential role in primary and secondary cardiovascular prevention by modulating various cardiovascular risk factors. The need to have easily useable tools seems essential to facilitate the daily practice of clinicians in order to propose the most optimal management of their patients' diet. The aim of this study was to compare the diet assessed with a simple food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) between patients with symptomatic peripheral artery disease (PAD) and healthy subjects.

Background: Prematurity is one of the risk factors for sudden unexpected infant death (SUID), a phenomenon that remains poorly explained.
Materials And Methods: The analysis of specific factors associated with SUID among very premature infants (VPI) was performed through a retrospective review of data collected in the French SUID registry from May 2015 to December 2018. The factors associated with SUID among VPI were compared with those observed among full-term infants (FTI).

Background: Exercise transcutaneous oxygen pressure measurement (Exercise-TcPO2) can be used to diagnose Lower Extremity Artery Disease (LEAD) and allows the quantification of limb ischemia during exercise on treadmill. Exercise-TcPO2 test-retest reliability in patients with LEAD and severe walking impairment is unknown. The aim of this study was to evaluate the test-retest reliability, standard error of measurement (SEM), and Minimal Detectable Change (MDC) of exercise-TcPO2 in patients with claudication.

Background: Despite the wide development of Y-loaded microspheres, Re-labeled lipiodol is still being used for radioembolization of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the use of this latter compound is limited by in vivo instability. This study sought to evaluate the safety, bio-distribution, and response to Re-SSS lipiodol, a new and more stable compound.

Objective: The objective was to assess the accuracy and optimal threshold of the Walking Impairment Questionnaire (WIQ) and the Walking Estimated-Limitation Calculated by History (WELCH) questionnaire in identifying patients with a maximal walking distance (MWD) below or equal to 250 m.
Methods: This retrospective study screened 388 consecutive patients with suspected symptomatic lower extremity arterial disease (LEAD). Collected data included the patient's history, resting ankle-brachial index, WIQ, and WELCH.

The E2R (Emotion, Regression, Repair) method is a pragmatic and innovative technique for treating psychological complaints. It is the result of the professional experience of two caregivers who have been training medical and paramedical colleagues since 2016 in this method. There is always an Emotion in the symptom that a patient presents.

Arterial Doppler waveform recordings are commonly used to assess lower extremity arterial disease (LEAD) severity. However, little is known about the relationship between arterial Doppler waveform profiles and patients' walking capacity. The purpose of this study was to assess whether arterial Doppler waveforms are independently associated with maximal walking distance (MWD) in patients experiencing exertional limb symptoms.

The role of melatonin has been extensively investigated in pathophysiological conditions, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Reduced melatonin secretion has been reported in ASD and led to many clinical trials using immediate-release and prolonged-release oral formulations of melatonin. However, melatonin's effects in ASD and the choice of formulation type require further study.

In patients with exertional limb symptoms and normal ankle-brachial index (ABI) at rest, exercise testing can be used to diagnose lower extremity arterial disease (LEAD). Post-exercise ABI decrease or Exercise transcutaneous oxygen pressure measurement (Exercise-TcPO2) can be used to diagnose LEAD. Objectives were (i) to assess the agreement between both methods (ii) to define the variables associated with the discordance, and (iii) to present results of healthy subjects.

Tacrolimus (TAC) is the cornerstone of immunosuppressive therapy in liver transplantation. This study aimed at elucidating the interplay between pharmacogenetic determinants of TAC whole blood and intracellular exposures as well as the pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic relationship of TAC in both compartments. Complete pharmacokinetic profiles (Predose, and 20 min, 40 min, 1h, 2h, 3h, 4h, 6h, 8h, 12h post drug intake) of twice daily TAC in whole blood and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) were collected in 32 liver transplanted patients in the first ten days post transplantation.

Aims: Monitoring risk-based approaches in clinical trials are encouraged by regulatory guidance. However, the impact of a targeted source data verification (SDV) on data-management (DM) workload and on final data quality needs to be addressed.
Methods: MONITORING was a prospective study aiming at comparing full SDV (100% of data verified for all patients) and targeted SDV (only key data verified for all patients) followed by the same DM program (detecting missing data and checking consistency) on final data quality, global workload and staffing costs.

Purpose: This study sought to provide preliminary results on the biodistribution and dosimetry following intra-arterial liver injection of Re-SSS Lipiodol on hepatocellular carcinoma patients included in the Phase I Lip-Re 1 study.
Methods: Results of the first six patients included are reported. Analysis of the Re-SSS Lipiodol biodistribution was based on planar scintigraphic and tomoscintigraphic (SPECT) studies performed at 1, 6, 24, 48, and 72 h post-administration.

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is associated with reduced patient survival following combined liver-kidney transplantation (LKT). The aim of this study was to assess the efficacy and safety of second-generation direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) in this difficult-to-treat population. The ANRS CO23 "Compassionate use of Protease Inhibitors in Viral C Liver Transplantation" (CUPILT) study is a prospective cohort including transplant recipients with recurrent HCV infection treated with DAAs.
