This paper represents structure, photoluminescence, and colorimetric investigations of Sm-activated CaWO ceramic made with the help of a solid-state reaction process. Structures of the ceramics are examined through X-ray diffraction spectroscopy. It indicates that these materials have a tetragonal structure and I4/a space group without having any other secondary phase.

The transmembrane glycoprotein angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) is a key component of the renin-angiotensin system (RAS). It was shown to be the receptor of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 in the COVID-19 outbreak (SARS-COV-2). Furthermore, ACE2 aids in the transport of amino acids across the membrane.

Thyroid cancer is a life-threatening condition that arises from the cells of the thyroid gland located in the neck's frontal region just below the adam's apple. While it is not as prevalent as other types of cancer, it ranks prominently among the commonly observed cancers affecting the endocrine system. Machine learning has emerged as a valuable medical diagnostics tool specifically for detecting thyroid abnormalities.

Arsenic (As) is a well-known human carcinogen, and the consumption of rice is the main pathway for the South Asian people. The study evaluated the impact of the amendments involving CaSiO, SiO nanoparticles, silica solubilizing bacteria (SSB), and rice straw compost (RSC) on mitigation of As toxicity in rice. The translocation of As from soil to cooked rice was tracked, and the results showed that RSC and its combination with SSB were the most effective in reducing As loading in rice grain by 53.

Calix[4]pyrroles are an important class of oligopyrrolic macrocycles and have found applications in many diverse fields including anion recognition. To modulate the properties of the calix[4]pyrrole, several structural modifications are realized. The core-expansion has attracted extra attention as it provides larger cavity-size compared to parent calix[4]pyrrole(s).

Supramolecular chemistry is a multidisciplinary research area mostly associated with the investigation of host-guest interactions within intricate three-dimensional (3D) molecular architectures held together reversibly by various non-covalent interactions. Continuous efforts to develop such kinds of complex host-guest systems with designer oligopyrrolic macrocyclic receptors are a rapidly growing research domain, which is deeply involved in applied supramolecular chemistry research. These host-guest supramolecular complexes can be constructed by combining suitable electron-rich oligopyrrolic donors (as a host) with complementary electron-poor guests (as acceptors), held together by the ionic force of attraction triggered by intermolecular charge/electron transfer (CT/ET) transitions.

Computer-assisted diagnostic systems have been developed to aid doctors in diagnosing thyroid-related abnormalities. The aim of this research is to improve the diagnosis accuracy of thyroid abnormality detection models that can be utilized to alleviate undue pressure on healthcare professionals. In this research, we proposed deep learning, metaheuristics, and a MCDM algorithms-based framework to detect thyroid-related abnormalities from ultrasound and histopathological images.

Metagenomics is defined as the study of the genome of the total microbiota found in nature and is often referred to as microbial environmental genomics because it entails the examination of a group of genetic components (genomes) from a diverse community of organisms in a particular setting. It is a sub-branch of omics technology that encompasses Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA), Ribonucleic acid (DNA), proteins, and various components associated with comprehensive analysis of all aspects of biological molecules in a system-wide manner. Clustered regularly interspaced palindromic repeats and its endonuclease, CRISPR-associated protein which forms a complex called CRISPR-cas9 technology, though it is a different technique used to make precise changes to the genome of an organism, it can be used in conjunction with metagenomic approaches to give a better, rapid, and more accurate description of genomes and sequence reads.

Background: Bacterial leaf blight (BLB) is one of the major biotic stress in rice cultivation. Management techniques, such as the development of BLB-resistant cultivars, are required to lessen the severity of the disease attack and yield losses. Pratikshya was selected in the present investigation as the recipient parent, as it is one of the popular high-yielding rice varieties of Odisha, India, which is having excellent grain as well as cooking quality.

Studies were undertaken to isolate potential native strains of bio-control agents to manage the devastating Rice Root Knot Nematode (). Eighteen bacterial strains and eleven fungal strains were isolated from the rhizosphere of crops like rice, okra, ash gourd, chili, beans and cucumber, enveloping diverse soil types from the Upper Brahmaputra Valley region of Assam.

Although increased use of modern breeding techniques and technology has resulted in long-term genetic gain, the pace of genetic gain must be sped up to satisfy global agricultural demand. However, marker-assisted selection has proven its potential for improving qualitative traits with large effects regulated by one to few genes. Its contribution to the improvement of the quantitative traits regulated by a number of small-effect genes is modest.

Background: Thyroid disorders are prevalent worldwide and impact many people. The abnormal growth of cells in the thyroid gland region is very common and even found in healthy people. These abnormal cells can be cancerous or non-cancerous, so early detection of this disease is the only solution for minimizing the death rate or maximizing a patient's survival rate.

Highly reducing Sm(II) reductants and protic ligands were used as a platform to ascertain the relationship between low-valent metal-protic ligand affinity and degree of ligand X-H bond weakening with the goal of forming potent proton-coupled electron transfer (PCET) reductants. Among the Sm(II)-protic ligand reductant systems investigated, the samarium dibromide -methylethanolamine (SmBr-NMEA) reagent system displayed the best combination of metal-ligand affinity and stability against H evolution. The use of SmBr-NMEA afforded the reduction of a range of substrates that are typically recalcitrant to single-electron reduction including alkynes, lactones, and arenes as stable as biphenyl.

We consider a quasi-one-dimensional Bose-Einstein condensate with contact and long-range dipolar interactions, under the action of the time-periodic modulation applied to the harmonic-oscillator and optical-lattice trapping potentials. The modulation results in generation of a variety of harmonics in oscillations of the condensate's width and centre-of-mass coordinate. These include multiple and combinational harmonics, represented by sharp peaks in the system's spectra.

The machine learning (ML)-based classification models are widely utilized for the automated detection of heart diseases (HDs) using various physiological signals such as electrocardiogram (ECG), magnetocardiography (MCG), heart sound (HS), and impedance cardiography (ICG) signals. However, ECG-based HD identification is the most common one used by clinicians. In the current investigation, the ECG records or subjects have been sampled and are used as inputs to the classification model to distinguish between normal and abnormal patients.
