Based on the innovation-driven theory and the ability-motivation-opportunity (AMO) perspective, we explore the role of intellectual property protection (IPP) in enhancing the radical technological innovation (RTI) of national research project teams (NRPT). Survey data from 336 national research project team members from universities and enterprises were used to analyze the theoretical model of this study, bringing in the chain-mediated effects of innovation milieu (IM) and group potential (GP) for analysis, as well as two-stage hybrid partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and artificial neural network techniques (ANN) to evaluate the hypotheses. The empirical findings of this paper show that the strength of IPP has a positive relationship with RTI of NRPT, and that IPP is the most important predictor of this.

Oxidative stability is a key quality characteristic of edible oils, and the oil's antioxidant capacity decreases during the deodorization stage. This study explores the changes in radical formation, molecular structure, oxidative characteristics, fatty acids, and main bioactive compounds in soybean oil during deodorization. The lag phase decreased, whereas the total amount of spins of free radicals increased as the deodorization time increased from 90 to 150 min.

Based on fluorescence spectroscopy, being combined with several spectral analysis techniques including principal component analysis (PCA), two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2D-COS), and moving window 2D-COS, the study disclosed the structural variations of gold nanoclusters capped by thiolactic acid (AuNCs@TLA) induced by Ag(I) ions. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) were applied to monitor the morphology evolution of the surface and composition of the nanoclusters induced by Ag(I) ions. Several spectral components, centered at (790, 607) nm, (670, 590) nm, and (740, 670) nm were revealed by 2D-COS analysis, suggesting new luminescent species or groups were generated with the introduction of Ag(I) ions.

The residue remaining after oil extraction from grape seed contain abundant procyanidins. An ultrasonic-assisted enzyme method was performed to achieve a high extraction efficiency of procyanidins when the optimal extraction conditions were 8 U/g of cellulase, ultrasound power of 200 W, ultrasonic temperature of 50 ℃, and ultrasonic reaction time of 40 min. The effects of free procyanidins on both radical scavenging activity and thermal stability at 40, 60, and 80 ℃ of the procyanidins-loaded liposomal systems prepared by the ultrasonic-assisted method were discussed.

In grassland soils, soil water repellency (SWR) may be one of the triggers of soil erosion and degradation as it can reduce water infiltration and penetration into the soil. Few studies were focusing on the evaluation of soil hydro-physical properties, such as hydrophobicity, and their relation to soil moisture, hydrophobic matter, and particle size in grassland soils. In this study, 800 soil samples were collected from the Xilingol grassland in Inner Mongolia, China, using the water droplet penetration time (WDPT) test to evaluate water repellency and we aimed to investigate the temporal and spatial distribution of SWR in grassland soils using the Kriging and Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) interpolation methods and determine the physical-chemical properties that trigger the SWR.
