Purpose: While only a few postmenopausal women exhibit biochemical signs of hypovitaminosis D, it has been shown that vitamin D insufficiency has detrimental effects on the overall skeleton mineralization, bone turnover rate, and may be a significant risk factor for osteoporosis and fracture. We evaluated the concurrent effect of Vitamin D levels and biochemical markers of bone turnover on bone health of postmenopausal women.
Methods: The present study was conducted within the framework of the Bushehr Elderly Health (BEH) program, a population-based prospective cohort study being conducted in Bushehr, a southern province of Iran.

Background: This study aims to investigate the effects of carob (Ceratonia siliqua L.) pod extract (CPE) on the viability of human endometrial mesenchymal stromal/stem cells (EnMSCs) and its impact on mRNA and protein expressions of DNA methyltransferases (DNMT1, DNMT3A, and DNMT3B), histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1), matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP2), and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in endometriotic patients.
Materials And Methods: In this experimental study, EnMSCs were derived from endometrium of patients with ovarian endometrioma (OMA-EnMSCs group) and deep infiltrative endometriosis (DIE) samples of 10 endometriosisassociated infertility (EAI) women (E-EnMSCs group) and compared to EnMSCs derived from the endometrium of an endometriosis-free, normal woman as the control group (C-EnMSCs).

Traditional Fenton-like reactions, commonly employed in chemodynamic therapy (CDT) for cancer treatment, face limitations due to the mildly acidic tumor microenvironment (TME) and scarce HO availability. Aiming to overcome these hurdles, we report herein the preparation of copper-cobalt peroxide (CCp) nanoparticles, a novel catalyst that enables a pH-activated, self-supplying HO-mediated cascade reaction. In the slightly acidic TME (pH 6.

Background: Sclerostin, a protein encoded by the gene, is an important genetic risk factor for osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. This study was conducted on the Iranian postmenopausal women, to investigate the association between this gene and the Trabecular Bone Score (TBS) as a novel index used for assessing osteoporosis.
Methods: The present study, conducted in 2024, was performed on 1071 women aged 60 years and older who participated in the Bushehr Elderly Health (BEH) program.

Background: Selecting most appropriate approach between the transfemoral access (TFA) and transradial access (TRA) for diagnostic cerebral angiography is a subject of debate.
Objective: To compare the safety and efficacy of TFA and TRA for diagnostic cerebral angiography.
Methods: We performed a systematic search through four databases to find relevant clinical studies.

Deficiencies in coagulation factors I (FI), FII, FV, combined FV and FVIII (CF5F8) and vitamin K-dependent coagulation factors FVII, FX, FXI, and FXIII have been referred to as rare bleeding disorders (RBDs), rare coagulation factor deficiencies (RCFDs), or recessively inherited coagulation disorders. Fibrinogen was most likely the first member of this group to be identified, with reports of its discovery spanning from 1859 to 1966. If not, then the first coagulation factor to be identified was prothrombin in 1894, and the last coagulation factor to be found was FX in 1956, about 60 years later.

This study investigates the occurrence and distribution of chemical pollutants, including total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHs), organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), anionic surfactants, and total organic carbon (TOC), in the Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) waters in the northern Persian Gulf. Water samples were collected from five MPAs during the winter and summer of 2022. The study identified significant seasonal variations, with higher pollutant levels recorded in winter compared to summer.

The porous underground structures have recently attracted researchers' attention for hydrogen gas storage due to their high storage capacity. One of the challenges in storing hydrogen gas in aqueous solutions is estimating its solubility in water. In this study, after collecting experimental data from previous research and eliminating four outliers, nine machine learning methods were developed to estimate the solubility of hydrogen in water.

Background: The aim of the study was to evaluate the association of high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) findings with pulmonary fibrotic activity in the corresponding regions using [ 68 Ga]Ga-fibroblast activation fibroblast inhibitor (FAPI) PET/CT in patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD). Additionally, the potential of [ 68 Ga]Ga-FAPI-46 PET/CT for evaluating the active fibrosis process and 99m Tc-MIBI scintigraphy for assessing the inflammatory process in ILD patients was also assessed.
Methods: In this pilot study, 20 ILD patients underwent [ 68 Ga]Ga-FAPI-46 PET/CT and 99m Tc-MIBI SPECT/CT.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infections have re-emerged in several countries due to reduced levels of antibodies provided by vaccines or the rapid emergence of viral variants, such as Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta. A considerable supplementary intervention is recommended, including an additional dose of vaccination. The present study aimed to assess the predictors of the willingness to receive the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine based on the Health Belief Model (HBM) constructs among people referring to health centers in South Khorasan province.
