Re-epithelialization is an important step in skin wound healing, referring to the migration, proliferation, and differentiation of keratinocytes around the wound. During this process, the edges of the wound begin to form new epithelial cells, which migrate from the periphery of the wound towards the center, gradually covering the entire wound area. These newly formed epithelial cells proliferate and differentiate, ultimately forming a protective layer over the exposed dermal surface.

Osteosarcoma is the commonest primary bone malignancy occurring in patients aged <20, and humerus is the third most common site affected by it. In the past, ablative surgery with poor functional outcomes was the only option, but due to advances in chemotherapy, medical imaging and surgical techniques, patient survivorship and the rate of limb salvage surgery has increased significantly. Over the decades many treatment options have been proposed for the reconstruction of the defect following extirpation of the tumour in the proximal humerus, with every procedure having its merits and demerits.

Fournier's gangrene (FG) is a rare form of necrotizing soft tissue infection characterized by an acute, aggressive, and rapidly progressive course. In this case report, we describe advanced therapy combining critical care, surgery, pharmacotherapy, extended biochemical/cellular blood diagnostics, and post-discharge hyperbaric oxygen therapy rehabilitation. Such an intervention resulted in survival and improved health status and quality of life of the patient with FG and septic shock.

Objective: Home blood pressure monitoring (HBPM) is an increasingly important tool in managing hypertension (HTN); however, its efficacy depends on its accuracy. This study aimed to explore the differences between blood pressure (BP) measurements conducted by patients and medical professionals and the patient demographic factors correlating with inaccurate self-measured BP levels.
Methods: One hundred hypertensive patients completed a questionnaire inquiring about their health status and HBPM procedures and were filmed while measuring their BP using their own devices.

Background: The phrase "dysfunctional high-density lipoprotein" has been developed in the literature to describe the particle which loses its basic role- anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory activity. In this porcess, the significance of enzymes- pro-oxidant myeloperoxidase (MPO) and antioxidant paraoxonase-1 (PON-1) from the perspective of HDL-C function has been noted.
Aims: The objective of this study was to analyze the associations between two enzymes -MPO and PON-1 and type 2 diabetes (T2DM) in patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD).

Background: The accurate and independent measurement of blood pressure (BP) by patients is essential for home BP monitoring (HBPM) and determining the quality of hypertension (HTN) control. This study aimed to evaluate the BP self-measurement techniques of hypertensive patients and their accuracy in accordance with established guidelines. We sought to identify the common errors that patients make and suggest improvements that can be implemented in the primary healthcare setting to increase the reliability of HBPM conducted by hypertensive patients.

Objectives: To determine whether groin dissection surgical site infection (SSI) incidence changed with shorter post-operative antibiotic prophylaxis.
Background: Post-operative prophylaxis changed due to antimicrobial stewardship, from regular oral antibiotics until drain removal, to three intravenous doses. Both groups had a single intravenous dose at induction.

Hand burns are common and often complex injuries, requiring referral to specialist centers. The patient's thumbprint is a rapid means of accurately assessing hand burn surface area. This study aimed to establish categories and evaluate sites of hand burn surface area in order to facilitate comparison of hand burns.

. There is a lack in the worldwide literature of reports on the Neuromarkers of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in patients after bilateral hand amputation The aim of this study was to test a hypothesis regarding developing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in a patient after bilateral hand amputation with the use of Event Related Potentials (ERPs). On the basis of previous research, the amplitudes of P3 ERP components elicited in the cued GO/NOGO tasks have been chosen as candidates for neuromarkers of PTSD.

Background: The aim of our research was an evaluation of the effectiveness of neurofeedback in reducing the symptoms of Post-trauma stress disorder (PTSD), which had developed as a result of a high-voltage electric burn to the head. Quantitative EEG (QEEG) and Event related potentials (ERPs) were utilised in the evaluation.
Case Study: A 21-year-old patient, experienced 4(th) degree burns to his head as a result of a high-voltage electric burn.

Although the incidence of eye splash injury has been assessed for a number of surgical specialities, such risks posed to the burn surgeon have not been previously quantified. During 100 consecutive procedures the operating burns team wore a clean set of goggles, counting the number of blood splashes on the goggles after each procedure. During this study there were 47 cases of potential eye splash injury, although the individual was only aware of 2 of these intra-operatively.

Tissue expansion has developed as an important routine procedure in plastic and reconstructive surgery in the past two decades. It is used progressively in cases of reconstruction treatment for children and adults who do not have enough adjacent tissue for reconstruction of the skin surface that is defective as a result of a trauma, burns, or congenital deformation. When applied to children, the method of tissue expansion enabled us to achieve aesthetic and functional results that had not been obtained before with traditional procedures of reconstructive surgery.

Scars are a consequence of the natural way of wound healing and replacement of the damaged part of the skin. Hypertrophic scars and keloids are formed as a result of the process of abnormal wound healing, causing aesthetic and functional deformities, discomfort, and disturbance of children's normal growth. The prophylaxis and treatment of these scars, i.
