This review presents the literature data of new approaches for the treatment of COVID-19 with low doses of radiation (LDR). In addition, data on the use of LDR for the treatment of various disorders, in particular pneumonia, a number of inflammatory processes of various etiology, as well as Alzheimer's disease are discussed. The mechanisms of LDR action are briefly described, associated with the activation of the immune system and antiinflammatory response due to the effect on the processes of oxidative stress, which is reflected in an increase in the activity of cytokines (interleukin- (IL-) 6), changes in the expression of a number of genes (such as P53 and NF-κB (p65)) and long non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) (the authors' own data are presented).

Mesenchymal stem cells from the adipose tissue (AT MSC) and the bone marrow (BM MSC) stimulated migration of melanoma B16 cells, while mammary adenocarcinoma Ca755 cells stimulated migration of mesenchymal stem cells. Mesenchymal stem cells retained these properties at late terms after γ-irradiation in vitro. Tumors that developed after injection of Ca755 cells alone and in combinations with BM MSC or AT MSC had similar histological structure corresponding to breast adenocarcinoma.

They subsequently received pulse therapy with methylprednisolone [1,000 mg/day intravenously (IV) for three consecutive days] and IV immunoglobulin (20 g/day). This treatment regimen was associated with a prompt resolution of respiratory failure, elimination of clinical manifestations of the cytokine release syndrome (CRS), and reversal of pulmonary CT changes.

Objective: To prove the feasibility, as well as the reproducibility of laparoscopic totally intracorporeal ileal ureter replacement (LIUR), by presenting a multicenter patient cohort with a long follow-up.
Material And Methods: Records of patients undergoing different types of ureteral replacements have been collected. Follow-up included a chemical profile and urine cultures.
Objective: To analyze clinical course and the results of salvage liver transplantation in patients with recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after liver resection.
Material And Methods: A 54-year-old man with HCV-infection and HCC and 22-year-old woman with fibrolamellar variant of HCC underwent resection of the right and left liver lobe, respectively. The first patient experienced recurrent HCC four times with an interval of 3-6 months within 2 years after surgery.
Aim: To estimate short- and long-term outcomes of pediatric kidney transplants in Russia considering the maximum available number of cases.
Material And Methods: Retrospective, observational, multi-center study included data about 1187 kidney transplantation procedures (866 - deceased donor, 281 - living donor and 40 - AB0-incompatible living donor) performed in 1065 patients (age 0-17 years) since 1990 till 2017. Patient and graft survival, causes of recipient deaths and graft losses, as well as, the influence of donor type, blood group incompatibility and recipient age on outcomes were analyzed.

Background Aims: Spontaneous mutagenesis often leads to appearance of genetic changes in cells. Although human multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells (hMSC) are considered as genetically stable, there is a risk of genomic and structural chromosome instability and, therefore, side effects of cell therapy associated with long-term effects. In this study, the karyotype, genetic variability and clone formation analyses have been carried out in the long-term culture MSC from human gingival mucosa.
