Background And Purpose: Aging, inactivity, malnutrition and diseases cause sarcopenia and stroke is an important reason of sarcopenia. The aim of this study was to determine the sarcopenia and to evaluate the relationship between functional outcome and temporal muscle thickness using brain CT in older acute stroke patients.
Methods: A retrospective study was conducted with acute stroke patients in a single neurology clinic.

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the correlation between optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) measured using computed tomography (CT), and ONSD measured using bedside ultrasonography (USG) in the diagnosis of brain death.
Patients And Methods: A total of 21 brain-dead patients were included in the study. The ONSD values of these patients were measured using both USG and CT before and after brain death, and the relationship between these measurements was evaluated.

Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is a zoonotic disease that can be presented with fever, fatigue, generalized joint/body pain, diarrhea and bleeding in various parts of the body. The risk of developing a severe fatal disease in humans, the possibility of being infected with aerosols and the risk of being used as a biological weapon make the disease still an important health problem all over the world as there is no a specific treatment and vaccine that has proven effective againt the virus today. The pathogenesis of the disease is not known, but vascular endothelial damage is prominent.

Background: Bronchiectasis is common in patients with advanced chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and adversely affects the patients' clinical condition. This study aimed to investigate the effects of bronchiectasis on exercise capacity, dyspnea perception, disease-specific quality of life, and psychological status in patients with COPD and determine the extent of these adverse effects by the severity of bronchiectasis.
Methods: A total of 387 COPD patients (245 patients with only COPD [Group 1] and 142 COPD patients with accompanying bronchiectasis [Group 2]) were included in the study.

Methods: Among 31 collaborating institutions from all regions of Turkey, 1154 healthy volunteers were enrolled in this study.

Objective: The aim of this study is to assess the prevalence of polypharmacy, inappropriate drug use, and drug-drug interactions (DDIs) in elderly patients presenting at outpatient cardiology clinics in Turkey.
Methods: The EPIC (Epidemiology of Polypharmacy and Potential Drug-Drug Interactions in Elderly Cardiac Outpatients) study will be an observational, real-world, multicenter study conducted to evaluate DDIs and polypharmacy in elderly cardiac outpatients. All consecutive patients (aged ≥65 years) admitted to outpatient cardiology clinics between July 30, 2018 and July 30, 2019 who provide written, informed consent will be enrolled.
