Nanoformulations have become increasingly useful as drug delivery technologies in recent decades. As therapeutics, oral administration is the most common delivery method, although it is not always the most effective route because of challenges with swallowing, gastrointestinal discomfort, low solubility, and poor absorption. One of the most significant barriers that medications must overcome to exert a therapeutic effect is the impact of the first hepatic transit.

In this study, extracts of -roasted coffee were obtained using various extraction techniques, including subcritical fluid extractions using HFC-134a and HCFC-22 under room-temperature batch extraction, frozen-temperature batch extraction, and continuous extraction conditions. Additionally, supercritical carbon dioxide (SCCO) extraction was performed using ethanol and tetrahydrofuran as co-solvents. These extractions were performed due to the presence of potent antioxidants and antibacterial substances in the extracts.

Qigong exercise training has been suggested to elicit beneficial effects on physical functioning, reduction of oxidative stress, and improved antioxidant capacity in women. However, regular exercise training may support the development of antioxidant defense mechanisms and beneficially modulate oxidant/antioxidant responses. To evaluate the effects of an 8-week exercise training on exercise performance and oxidative stress responses in sedentary middle-aged and elderly women suffering from type 2 diabetic mellitus (T2DM).

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) increases mortality rates in older adults and those with comorbidities. Individuals with certain comorbidities may have a poor immune response and require early booster vaccines. We aimed to assess the immune response after two doses of ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine, at 84-day intervals, in participants with the following comorbidities; diabetes mellitus; obesity; cardiovascular disease; chronic kidney disease; rheumatological disease; cirrhosis; hematological disease; hematological malignancy; or solid malignancy.

Background: In China, the prevalence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) continues to rise, and Diabetes Self-Management (DSM) is generally suboptimal. Thus, identifying the factors influencing DSM in adults with T2DM is crucial for healthcare providers.
Objectives: This study aimed to 1) describe DSM among adults with T2DM in Wenzhou, China, 2) examine the correlations between diabetes knowledge, perceived self-efficacy, fatalism, social support, and DSM, and 3) determine how much power of the correlated independent variables could predict DSM.
