  • From April 2007, four successful cases demonstrated effective anastomosis of major veins to bovine pericardium post-donor hepatectomy, with all patients showing good recovery and liver function from 3 to 11 months post-surgery.
  • Three patients exhibited adequate middle hepatic venous flow without congestion, suggesting that bovine pericardium could serve as a viable alternative for vein reconstruction when cadaveric organs are scarce.
