: A prominent anterior tibial tuberosity (or tibial tubercle) can be seen in ongoing Osgood-Schlatter disease (OSD) in teenagers or as a sequela of OSD in adults. Current radiological methods do not provide a true anatomical assessment of the tibial tuberosity; therefore, we proposed and developed a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)-based method for measuring the anterior tibial tuberosity index, aiming to deal with the current lack of effective techniques for accurately assessing these particular morphologic features. : A retrospective study included 47 knees with tibial tuberosity measurements on both true sagittal MPR images of 3D proton density (PD)-weighted MRI sequences and lateral knee radiographs.

  • Adrenal tumors are common and can be benign or malignant; thorough evaluations are essential to identify any hormonal or metabolic issues.
  • A study of 264 patients revealed that the majority were middle-aged women, with a low malignancy rate of 4.54% and most tumors (71.95%) being hormonally nonfunctioning.
  • Both functioning and nonfunctioning adrenal tumors are linked to cardiometabolic comorbidities, suggesting that all patients should undergo comprehensive hormonal and malignancy assessments, regardless of tumor type.

Considering the increase in life expectancy in the general population and the need for a more active lifestyle, total hip arthroplasty has become an absolutely necessary surgical intervention to maintain these desired results. Along with the evolution of medicine and the increase in the quality and performance of the materials used to make prostheses, the number of patients who benefit from total hip replacement is constantly increasing, and proportionally, the number of patients who will require revision arthroplasty is increasing. Before discussing the need for hip arthroplasty revision, it is necessary to carry out a rigorous clinical and imaging examination for differential diagnosis with other pathologies such as low back pain, the presence of bone or soft tissue tumors, arterial occlusions and claudication, or other systemic diseases.
