The antigen-targeting to dendritic cells (DCs) has gained increasing attention as the potential approach for immunotherapy in recent years due to the ability of DCs to regulate innate and adaptive immunity. In the present study, the immunogenicity and protective efficiency of mannan-decorated PLGA nanoparticles (NPs) loaded with multi-epitopes mycobacterium tuberculosis antigen (HspX-Ppe44-EsxV) were evaluated as a targeted delivery system to DCs. For this purpose, PLGA nanoparticle formulations were prepared and subsequently decorated by mannan.

Objectives: Tuberculosis (TB), a contagious disease caused by (), remains a health problem worldwide and this infection has the highest mortality rate among bacterial infections. Current studies suggest that intranasal administration of new TB vaccines could enhance the immunogenicity of antigens. Hence, we aim to evaluate the protective efficacy and immunogenicity of HspX/EsxS fusion protein of along with ISCOMATRIX and PLUSCOM nano-adjuvants and MPLA through intranasal administration in a mice model.

Background: Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are the most challenging issue in cancer treatment, because of their high resistance mechanisms, that can cause tumor recurrence after common cancer treatments such as drug and radiation based therapies, and the insufficient efficiency of common treatments in CSCs removal and the recurrence of tumors after these treatments, it is essential to consider other methods, including non-ionizing treatments likes light-based treatments and magnetic hyperthermia (MHT).

Method And Material: After synthesis, characterization and investigation, the toxicity of novel on A375 and MAD-MB-231 cell lines, magnetic hyperthermia and light-based treatments were applied. MTT assay and flow cytometry was employed to determine cell survival.

One third of the world population has a history of exposure to the hepatitis B virus (HBV), and two billion people are infected with latent tuberculosis (TB). Occult hepatitis B infection (OBI) is defined as the presence of replicative-competent HBV DNA in the liver with detectable or undetectable HBV DNA in the serum of individuals testing negative for the HBV surface antigen (HBsAg). Screening with HBV DNA could identify OBI and significantly reduce carriers and complications of chronic hepatitis B (CHB).
