Low-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma (LG-ESS) can present diagnostic challenges, due to its overlapping morphological features with other uterine mesenchymal tumors. Misdiagnosis rates remain significant, and immunohistochemical data for LG-ESS are limited to small series and inconsistent antibody panels. This study aimed to refine the IHC profile of LG-ESS by analyzing a large, molecularly confirmed series of 147 cases using a panel of 24 antibodies, including newer markers like transgelin and smoothelin.

Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations are an important and well-established tool for investigating RNA structural dynamics, but their accuracy relies heavily on the quality of the employed force field (). In this work, we present a comprehensive evaluation of widely used pair-additive and polarizable RNA s using the challenging UUCG tetraloop (TL) benchmark system. Extensive standard MD simulations, initiated from the NMR structure of the 14-mer UUCG TL, revealed that most s did not maintain the native state, instead favoring alternative loop conformations.

Tire wear microplastics (TWMs) are continuously generated during driving and are subsequently released into the environment, where they pose potential risks to aquatic organisms. In this study, the effects of untreated, hydrated, and aged (in stream water) TWMs on the growth, root development, photosynthesis, electron transport system (ETS) activity, and energy-rich molecules of duckweed Lemna minor were investigated. The results indicated that untreated and aged TWMs have the most pronounced negative effects on Lemna minor, as evidenced by reduced growth and impaired root development.

The dependence on both the variables is usually expressed as the product of the Arrhenius law and the power law, where a constant value of the apparent activation energy is assumed. The preparation of a solid dosage form containing bacteriophages, which meets pharmaceutical requirements and ensures long-term stability of the phage effect, is significant for implementing phage therapy in practice. A commonly used method for processing phages into a solid form is freeze-drying into a so-called freeze-dried cake; however, to date there have been no studies examining the pharmacopeial parameters of freeze-dried tablets with bacteriophages. In this study, we describe the preparation and properties of freeze-dried tablets containing a cocktail of purified pseudomonal bacteriophage DSM 33593 from the genus Pbunavirus and staphylococcal bacteriophage DSM 33473 from the genus Kayvirus (10 PFU/tablet) as the active ingredient.

The anti-Stokes emission of photon upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) facilitates their use as labels for ultrasensitive detection in biological samples as infrared excitation does not induce autofluorescence at visible wavelengths. The paper deals with an analysis of the amount of 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs (Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons-16 defined by US EPA.)) released from reclaimed asphalt mixtures used in base layers of road surfaces and in binder layers in road construction using cold in-place recycling. For the ten samples tested, the sum of 16 PAHs was determined directly for the crushed asphalt mixture and for its 24-h leachate.
